Drove around for around 6 hours and no signs of problems. After ferrying last pax, needed to take a break. Parked the car and left. Came back about 10 minutes later and started the car only to find that the aircon not working at all; meaning no air coming out at all. Engine running as normal with temperature indicator slightly below half. Called hirer and he said he will handle it in the morning.
Any idea what could be the cause of this?
compressor up the lorry .
It was working fine until I switched off the engine and started it again 10 minutes later.
I did this whenever I need to take a break. I have taken many breaks but first time aircon took a break.
Ya compressor cease up. Happen to my Mercs also.
Wtf. This morning, hirer started up car and said aircon is running as normal.

Your Cab radiator start choke up alreally.
Go back Workshop ask the Ah Tion or Ah Niah to Flush for you, or else soon your radiator will bust (Up the lorry)

Thanks. Will inform hirer. It is Citycab btw.
Hirer also advise me to switch off aircon first before switching off engine.
When starting, start the car with aircon off. Then switch on aircon when engine running.
Does this help?
this method more like protecting the car battery
maybe TS accidently off the aircon while switching off the engine?

To make it clear. I parked, and switched off engine. I might also have switched off aircon.
When I came back and started the car, engine running. Aircon not running. I checked all aircon controls and even turned aircon blower to Number 4 and still no air coming out. Any suggestions so far?

The problem is, I drive night. If I ground and aircon works in the morning, workshop will call to say problem fixed and to collect vehicle. Not forgetting the inconvenience of going back after grounding and hirer going to workshop to collect vehicle with the possibility of NOTHING DONE.
This is what happened exactly. When aircon brokedown at around 1 am, informed hirer who said he will take it to workshop in the morning. So drove back without aircon and pump as normal.
In the morning, hirer sms me saying that there was no problem with aircon, so no point sending to workshop. When I drove the next day, the aircon was working fine. I did follow the hirer's advise, that is to make sure the engine is on first before switching on the aircon. Not sure if that helped.

Night time too cold sometimes the coil inside the car will freeze up and thus no air flow. Happened to my neighbour's old sampan. What he do is just off the compressor let the ice melt which still on the fan speed to high. After a while ok liao.
Ya lah coil dirty choke those hose liao .....
Not a long term solution if dun sent service .
Choke until the water cannot go round , eventually freeze up by compressor .
