One shot not enough .
The vital one is the 2nd shot , if confirm 2nd shot u kena , sorry .
Ah Mr Poolman , you forgot the most important point, 2 shots is nothing if no film!
Sometimes got like that 2 flashes, but film used up or dummy, so escape. Of course that is rare, but I've come across such case before. For me, I kena 1 flash before but stopped my car immediately, no 2nd flash and hence no summons. Even if kena, will not be for beating red light but failing to stop at stop line, a far lower penalty.
Another method off your taxi lights when you cross the junction. coz no lights the camera cannot see your number plate. hope this helps.

You wish. Anyway nowadays most camera installations probably have a chip reader to detect your IVU, so even if your number plate is obscured, your IVU is unique to your car.

Click above link to see how some did to avoid kena snapped .
Quite interesting one .
Traffic Camera taking use image senor system, it is when your whole car is expose to the sensor by more than 1/2 of it size, the camera snap twice, you notice 2 stands on any traffic junction camera, one is the sensor detector, another one is the camera, once the senor detector an image crossing the camera will snap with a huge thunder bolt flash.
Why some people are able to get away is because
1. the image senor only detect less than 1/2 the size of the vehicle, so presume it could be person or some other object, this happen when the vehicle is travelling out of the sensor zone, that why you must know where the sensor focus on.
2. the flash, some camera, for months had never taken any picture, maybe due to careful driver on that stretch of road, so the flash did not work to the camera shutte speed resulting in dark picture, it takes a few secs to warm up the bulbs, if you are photographer you will know that camera first shot is alway dark due to delay in flash, that is why they use to play a few shot first before really go into photoshoot.
3. Big junction, for example the one at lavender and kallang, the focus of the sensor will be only at one place, so sometime even if you beat the red light, camera flashed, you still do not get summon, but I bet you go play with it.

12 points $200 fine........
To perfectly understand how the camera works, go thru a red light with camera, later get a summon, appeal against it, then they will ask you to visit their office at Ubi, from there, they will explain to you exactly give you a lesson of how their camera works.
Then you go paid $200 as lesson fees
Warning for those trying to beat the red lights camera... think... Are you supposed to listen to forumers and risk genna fines and demerit points (or worse accidently killing someone) for beating red lights?
