Recently one of my kaki...got a letter from Traffic Police, Suspension of Driving Licence. He got total 24 demerit point.
Chiong 2 traffic light, 24 points.
So to all the chiongster taxi drivers, die or not die.... $200 or $300 easy money...right taxi driving damn easy as all mentioned, run for your life...once you are like him, than you know what is Taxi driving.( Best of the Best.)
What... his next move, received a letter from TP, he is liable to be suspension all class of driving , for three months. knn OmO.
If you attend the retaining course, if you pass than they will consider a lighter penalty like four weeks.
This is the actual senerio.
But my friend is lucky...pass the theory and practical at ang mo kio driving centre. on sunday he need to pay another $74 for the course and one whole day burned.
But still need, to go for the four weeks suspension, just received the letter from TP.
The moral of this story...money, money. you don't want meh all on the roads. Chiong Chiong Chiong. like him than you know and upset already too late. Don't easy listens.

i got another kaki another tio 2 traffic light... but somehow he lucky cos TP give him another chance... so no suspension... and he is definitely not the cheong type... dun know how he kena... maybe blur... haha

Normally red light, no chance of appeal, $200 and 12 demerit points. somemore 2 times, so mind share how he do his magic, even MP appeal Comfort appeal, personally appeal... letters also cannot ( jalan), how ?your friend did it, and escaped.
Wow..like that, many chiongster taxi drivers, you all can try, not scare die... no hitting target no go home type, easy as abc...$200, $300$400 collections....all the roads under your control, no governtment...issit.... alvin.

Driver's view .Chiong traffic lights must have correct technic one .
Take wiper as a "Touching Point" .
If ur wiper touches the tail of Arrow 3 , lights turned amber , u must brake !!!! U surely kena SNAP !!! No escape . At any speed .
If ur wiper touches the tail of Arrow 2 , lights turned amber , swee swee one , accelerate a bit , will be just nice , will not kena SNAP !
If ur wiper touches the tail of Arrow 1 , lights turned amber , take your time , no need accelerate , no need jam brake , swee swee go thru one .
Go and try .

Hi kin, what you say is very true , suspension may happen, can happen , will happen, if driving habits not changed I am like you friend, waiting for verdicts for choing red light , anyway appeal through MP, dunno results yet, now still driving regret also no use lor, happen already mah ... and bro pool, regarding the 3 arrow scenario, at what speed, when touch 2 arrow can go through, even driving at 50km/h or lesser ? eg when traffic moving very slowly in orchard road probably 20km/h when touch 2 arrow still can go through ?

Bro not to worry...this is the latest update from my friend, received a letter from TP confirm suspension driving all classes if vehicles, need to return his driving licence to testing and licensing branch within 14days.So, what he did, he when to comfort Sin Ming, they given him an appeal letter, with good writeout until the ones read it also will forgive base on compassionate ground, and immediate he by hand sent to TP HQ, shown some urgency. cause CNY around the corner.
Maybe you can follow him by doing this, your taxi company, prehap it will help.

100% cannot.... they took seriously especially this kind... chiong red light, my friend told, the officer told him, no way you can do it...... even with MP letter Comfort letter also cannot jalan, your friend could be the best in johore, best in batam and not forgeting SG escaped the gallows from the TP not once but twice, (por pee) from the god. or could he be telling you the not the truth, this kind taxi driver alway saxaphone or trumpet...lah. -
why almost all kena 2 red lights kaki day shift? that's what my friend asked me. last sunday he went for the course at BBDC cos kena 24 points/2 red lights. comfort wrote all the necessary appeals oredy. no can do. BUT, my friend said in the same course got 2 guys 2nd time one. BUT first time suspension!??? cos they asked comfort to write to TP, sibe cham story. no drive no money, can't feed family, no school fees, etc. So suspension delayed until if 2nd time (12 points/12 months) one time combine both suspension. if nothing within 12 months how? don't know this story the 2 guys told my friend chun or not. anyway, he asked comfort to write another appeal letter based on this method. waiting for outcome. out of 10 taxi drivers in the class, 8 are day shift. hmmzz...

use it only as last resort or boh bian situatn
been taught by one of my ex-colleagues & dun know if m lucky or within 'safe' chionging distance - i actually rec'd not one single summon aft >20 chionging sessions for my past 7 yrs' of drivin as delivery man!

cue: release ur accelerator while going thru junction in such situatn w red light cams - thats it! as m on manual, doing so would actually slow the vehicle so to speed up little, would usually clutch-in to engage my van/ lorry in neutral gear so as to move faster across...

catch is: no accelerating since it would create combustion heat fm the vehicle you're driving, which would in turn trigger the detecting element in the road you'd bypass, thereby activating the cam.

use only as last resort. also when raining v heavily, can chiong if cant stop on time on d wet slippery rd (as you deem safe to do so esp on downslope terrain) since it'll be safer to do so than to brake & skid to hit another vehicle or worse, pedestrian(s)! this i mean even with the red light cam in place cos under heavy rain, cams cant detect (well)...

take my suggestion only as a pinch of salt (esp only in situatn which you reali boh bian). but knowin what i've put up may give us drivers (always on the rd type) an 'extra' peace of mind knowin that in situatn whereby you got to chiong for safety reason, there'll be no or lesser worries (within the 2wks) that you gona gana summons or demerit points. but pls only chiong as last resort...

Yes , by right , even at 60km/h , 2nd arrow will go through . But 50km/h bro ? It's a dying speed , got time to brake , why take those chances ?

The safety driving instructor actually told us , it's not right to teach us , but this is one way to protect ourself .
I would put it that way , our speed of driving .
Let's be honest , i dun travel at 50km/h before , 50km/h just a pick-up speed for me , and cornering speed , steep corners .
I put it as 70km/h ? I would say 70km/h , safe to go thru at Arrow 2 .

This green man also can help to judge whether the junction , or the traffic lights on the road u are travelling , will turn AMBER or not ?Do glance around the junction when approaching .
If the green man is blinking , u are always safe to go through the junction .

only after the green man turned into

I would encourage cabbies , slow down when approaching junctions when u see the red man ON .
Because u can anticipate that the lights will go amber very very soon .
It's the traffic lights timing , all default , standard default .
That is why Alexandra Road x Jalan Bt Merah , there is a sign to let us know , traffic lights timing changed , not the regular traffic lights timing .

For night shift , TP speed camera don't work at night one !!! So infront no worry liao , when speeding , aiyo , check often from the back la knn !!!!! Every 5 secs check behind for the TP , i can tell you that , they are fast and invincible .
One moment u dun see them , next moment , they are beside you .
And pls la cabby , when speed , dun be commando take Lane 1 , take centre lane and speed less eyes catching knn .
