Married to work.
Staring lovingly at the computer screen everyday.
I am so happy for you.Originally posted by Origami:
I'm definitely not ur colleague...
I think cohabitation is a good idea. It gives u time to assess each other n challenge each other's patience n understanding when dealing with disagreements. Living with in-laws is also a new experience.
After living together for almost 4 yrs, we have nothing to argue about anymore. In fact everytime we're about to argue, we always end up smiling or laughing. It takes practice n patience.
There will always be surprises. My gf stayed with me for a while b4 we got our new flat. A while later I saw her real dirty habits bcoz we are on our own with no one to clean for us. After a year of cleaning & nagging at her, nothing changed. Then we always quarrel on her personal hygenie...Originally posted by DeadPoet:Are you married yet? I like the idea of staying together first before getting married. In that way, hopefully, there will not be any surprises after marriage.
Work won't quarrel with you.Originally posted by DeadPoet:Sometimes married to work is better than married to a human.
I have the same problem.Originally posted by Troy437:There will always be surprises. My gf stayed with me for a while b4 we got our new flat. You are so right!Originally posted by Kismet:Work won't quarrel with you.
Work won't break your heart.
Work doesn't have in laws.
Trouble is ... work doesn't love you back no matter how much you love it ...
Whatever problems you may have in marriage, just remember one thing :Originally posted by DeadPoet:You are so right!
But sometime when you are just too tired (in term of relationship), work is a great way to forget your relationships problems.
I agree. It is always those little little things that seem so insignificant that can add up to you losing your temper totally or getting more and more irritated with him/her everyday.Originally posted by InnoHippo:u might already know his/her bad habits .....
but living with his/her bad habits on a daily can be quite an ordeal ....
in short, knowing it and living with it is very different
That should be the way, for marriage to lastOriginally posted by Kismet:Whatever problems you may have in marriage, just remember one thing :
Marriage is not 50 / 50 ....
Marriage is 100 /100 ....
Each person gives a 100% to the other regardless of what happens ...
100% committment
100% forgiveness
100% understanding
100% unconditional love etc etc ...
Hard to do but that's what marriage and love is all about ...
Not hard to do, it is VERY VERY HARD to do.Originally posted by Kismet:Whatever problems you may have in marriage, just remember one thing :

Nothing in marriage is easy ... that's why couples should work hard to nurture and grow their relationship with each other ...Originally posted by DeadPoet:Not hard to do, it is VERY VERY HARD to do.
