Hi people...sorry for this boring topic.

I'm just so fed up about my job now. Pay is low....almost cho bo the whole day. The good thing is, i can surf the web and ICQ freely.

Well, actually, i would really like to do something different. Something which can makes me satisfied with it.
I got a Dip in IT....but i dun wish to work in an IT environment. No office job...

Just to give u all an example, I came across this job a few mths ago....from TCS.
"Programming Assistant".
The programming here doesn't means C program, etc... It means helping out and making sure that the TV programs in channel 8 runs well, the commercial runs well...etc.

u know? u know?? nothing to do with IT stuffs or very office-based of job.
But, it's just so difficult to find. Sad

Anyone can help?

Thanks tet, I'm also at a loss of where to start.

Wanted to get a bachelor but i hate to study IT again.
Wanted to learn something new but i dunno where to go. sigh...

Will keep a lookout in newspaper etc...may try out agencies.

Churra...got one suggestion..why dun you study again..mabbe take up a degree in business administration or something..then when you graduate, you will haf a dip in IT and a degree in Business Admin..then you will haf wider choices of jobs..
then your commanding pay will be high too...

hmm..FireIce..open cybercafe need alot of $$$ ..renovation, computers, linking to networks.. and employin staffs..,the rent..I think u need at least $100,000 for it...and now Spore got so many cybercafes...hard competition...

Sigh, that time i wanted to take Biotech...but my pts not enuf to get in. Then, my ex chose computer lines....so, my first 3 choices, i followed him loh. In the end, the both of us got to the 3rd choice which is IT. sigh....

Well, if you think having a cushiony office job is boring, you can consider those uniform vocations. I did suggest these to my dearest and gorgeous tet, but she says she doesn't look good in uniform! DUH!!! :p
Jokes aside, if you mind physical stuff, being in the unform services can be quite rewarding and it is one place where you can easily achieved your self satisfaction goals. Simply put, to me, there is no greater joy than nailing a criminal or cracking an extremely tough case.
Secondly, you can consider taking a sabbatical. Go for a short vacation, to places you have always wish to go, come back and plough head on into your new academic life. Trust me, people are more apt to study when they reach a certain age and have seen what the market has to offer them. And one more thing, I just loves our tertiary system here, especially the Arts in NUS. :p Damm relax man!!! Do consider it, you be surprised at the zeal you show towards your new course, more so if it's something you liked.
Everybody aspired to break out of their monotonous life, few achieved. What you have, dear churra, is youth. You are still young and by all means chase after the elusive dream...rather than regret it few yars down the road when you are all stagnant and tied down by committments. Give my views a thought, as my unit loves to say, the sky's the limit and time and tides wait for no man, even for a pretty lady like you Smile
