What do you think of 1 liners?

I notice many old birds quite piss off with some new birds posting 1 line everytime to clock high number of posts?

I use to post long serious reply when I am a new bird. After sometime here, I notice that posting long serious reply either result in being flamed by people who don't agree with me, or notice some people replying rubbish in my thread. Now I just here to kill time, I prefer to post bo liao 1 line to avoid being involved in petty arguement. Recently posting 1 line also make people unhappy.

Sometime it really make me wonder what should I do?

millennium buddy...dun fret..this forums is for us to be happy in...remember Chit Chat..u can chit chat in anything in the world..jus remember something..when u do something, jus make sure you be happy and enjoy it..seriously speakin I dunch see the wrong in posting one liner message..

dun put wat u think in the forums can liaoz..if a one liner can fit in wat you think, I dunch see anything wrong wif it..

Hee...yah, abt 1-liners, I notice many pple doing dat in the forums, but tink it shld be okie... (^_^) Some of them do it to chalk up their number of posts, some juz have nuthing much 2 add, some juz do so out of mischief or sheer boredom, but wateva the case, I guess it's alwiz nice 2 see at least someone's contribution =o)

Dun be too pissed off by such tinks. Hehe, in sucha big place like SgForums, there're bound 2 be all kinds of pple responding differently Smile

But I personally like those responses ranging from 1 paragraph to two. Responses which are too long, heehee, I seldom read them (^_^)

Yup ... definitely agree one liners r definitely acceptable. I mean come on, its a free net world ... unless the forum is renamed " SgNoOneLinerForums ".

As long as u r givng u r contributin opinons or views I dun tink anyone shld fault u. Juz bcoz u typed a thesis long post dun mean it aint crap ... of coz I dun encourage mindless postin juz to achieve " MY 1000TH POST !!! " :p

As for the " old pioneers " kudos to them for being pioneers of the forum ... but if you care to look up the history, serious " Not Quality But Quantity " forumites are few n far between. Most of them crap lotz too :p

Though I muz admit there were a few memorable wanz whom I admire for the depth in their postings ( eg. Firewire & Rinoa ) The post queen Lex too had lotsa erm ... duh postings ( No offense of coz :p ) Dat kinda explains her supreme status huh ... keke

First, this topic is not against anyone. I am sure you should know my character. If I not happy with someone post, I will debate with him/her straight in his/her thread. I wouldn't come to another channel to flame others. I post this topic in FnU channel is because I notice the people who post here are mostly my good friends, I really like to hear their opinion about this issue which have been going around for quite sometime.

Secondly, if I feel insulted. I definitely make hell lot of noise, oops should be hell lots of words in the chit chat post.

Thirdly, you were not too much at all. If I were you, I will use even more hush words.

I did look up the history of those "old birds" post before. Somehow I agree with what you said. However the standard of quality now is indeed very very bad. Man always have a kia su mentality, most of the people feel that they are the pioneers, they feel that things should be done according to their way. Can't blame them also.

If anyone sent you to rehab, tell them to sent me first. Cos I am a super 1 liner, I am going to be incurable if I don't get treatment soon. Very Happy
