Let me state my background: I was from DISCS, graduated in 1998.
I was around as the archer even then.

I'm glad to know that you are around for an education. But if i'm not wrong, by the time you reach varsity level, you should be doing the bulk of your learning by yourself.
Your Lecturers are around to present the information and to clarify doubts, not to spoon feed.
Plus, those jokers who can't speak good English, should jolly well enrol in some English-speaking course. They don't know how we the students are frolicking in orgasmic laughter whenever they deliver their lectures in the LT with their stupefying accent.
Or maybe they do know.. but are in chronic self-denial..
I'm curious about your definition of "good english".
If you are refering to written grammer and such, It might come as a surprise to you, but your lecturers do have to write research papers that are presented to the various bodies who are interested in their areas of research. If the international bodies at large can understand the english used, i wouldn't think that there is a problem with their english.
If you are talking about their accent, well, I've been working for 2 years, and have had quite some chances to interact with computing staff of various nationalities. All of them find our accent unique.
So do you think we should enroll in a language course to rid ourselves of this accent?
