How to get into Hwa Chong Institution (JC)

  The admission is 3 points this year. If I get 6 for Os, take hmt, and also have an A for cca, how do I use it to deduct points? 

   

  Do I have to include hmt in my L1R5 in order for 2 bonus points to be deducted?  How about cca? How do they know how much I got for my cca? Is there a form to attach in the JAE admission?

  the L1 can be either eng or CL1

  if u used CL1 for the L1, one of your R5 subj cannot be CL2

   

  bonus pts are separately input from the raw L1R5

  ur sch will give u a CCA record and achievement sheet at the end of the year
  which will incl the grade

  6 points with HMT and an A for CCA will give you 2 points.

  However, you can be sure that you may not even qualify with 2 points because HCI is primiarily an IP school. The O levels intake is usually a very small cohort, and very usually because these students excel in certain sports, making them extremely valuable to the school as school representatives for competitions.

  Thanks guys, so it means I'll have to send the cca record and achievement sheet together when applying? And I would also have to include hmt in my L1R5 in order for the bonus points to be deducted? Is that it? ^-^

  no. L1R5 will be jus your raw score bonus points will be reflected separately all in the system when u submit u will get instructions by then dun worry nw

  Yeah I know and that's not very fair :(

  Students who did well in psle gets their elite route covered up till A levels and many others who did much better after are deprived of chance. Oh well, I only have myself to blame.

  they have like oni 100 seats for those taking Os everybardie else had a good headstart liao so u have to be prepared to be working triple hard

  Since when are things fair? Nothing to complain.

  At least you are trying to take steps to get what you want. That is what's important :)

  equally hot. top 5 JCs all IP or semi IP u can try NJ VJ TJ they have more seats for Os
