Hey people as you all should have know our exams are over so i guess it's time to start training again to beat the BLOODY N*S
As planned, training for all members will be starting Tuesday, 1st July, 5pm at Lesiure Bowl (formerly Eastside).
Anyone else from SIM are also welcomed juz leave a note here and i'll get back to you asap.....

Any transportation to cater for those without cars?

hope all who attend can wear the school's polo T. if u do not, at least turn up in decent attire. Fox wun like eccentric attire. anyway, i'll be down training till i get a job.. which means prob for a long time

same here! I'll be going for tmrw's training and will continue to do so till I find a job. I've forgotten most of what Fox taught after my exams... sigh... back to square one...

Turnout today was not alot...
but still, we have 11 ppl.

When I called back, I was transferred to the voice mail.
Anyway, training is officially on, so get over the jet lag fast and we'll see you in action next week. Btw, remember the X Zone I was going to buy from you? Is the deal still on??
We had 2 newcomers today, both ladies and although new, they bowl alright. I guess they will be able to improve in time to come.

In view of certain feedback i am thinking of pushing the training time forward to maybe 3 or 3.30....

but once our school start, if u got lesson from 1.30pm to 4.30pm ley? what if all the freshies have lessons on tuesday same time too?
If wanna change, I suggest changing only after we get the new timetable. -

i guess u're worried about the league starting on tues thats y, but.. if everyone bloody gets there on time, we wun have a damn problem wif the league. 5-7 training, dinner, league, seems just nice as pple like me who joined the league will have time to eat then bowl and more or less warmed up.
if, everyone late like 1st week... then we can all fly kite. and the wind at ECP is quite nice to do so. -
Violent Objection.
Have to factor in the distance from anywhere also. East Coast is not the most central of places and it is nowhere near school. Most freshies will not drive. Please take that into consideration; travel time and costs can make up a huge chunk of the decision process. -

Four days later......
Am I also a freshie...feel so young again.... Anywayz sorry about the other day. Serious serious jet-lack. Even till now I'm still unsure if I'm ok. Anyhow....If I bowl well at Classic this Monday, then I guess I'm over it.

just that, its not quite what I would have prefer to read about.

Btw, training yesterday only 5 ppl. I guess most of us can't make it for all kinds of reasons, but msot importantly, i think that we should hold training for a week or 2 now.
We have alraedy gotten to the point, no1 else is joining...so might as well wait for UOL to finish orientation...then we continue again.?

was there for training yesterday.
enjoyed the training as the group was small and really worked on my release.
but, i think it's not really fair to Thomas, as from my pt of view, it's not justifiable for his time and effort to make the trip down for the few of us only... -

anyway, i think its best we cfm training on mondays, so if not enough ppl, can tell thomas to cancel.
Besides, now is ICT period, plus...my opinion is that, we should have started training only when we draft in UOL students.
We can only get 1 RMIT student, n it wont make a difference to start training in Aug. -
well, i disagree on putting training on hold...unless we really can't get enough ppl for training. dun put out the fire in valerie, coz i think she's really doing fine and very open to learning...jus like me when i first started real training.

hello.. i m a new full time student in sim. interested in joining but my skills not v good leh.. my avg only 120 leh... can join? wat do u all do during the training? how long? and any fees to pay??

Dun worry, most of us started out as crap bowlers...
improvement comes with practise, of cos.
training will cover more of the basic stuff such as timing and footwork, release, mental aspect, etc.
i've always enjoyed the training sessions as i find that i learn something new everytime.
