When is Classic Challenge 5?
Shariff said just now fun bowling is on 15May.
Thing is 15 May is not a holiday, its a Thursday....DUH?
And 25th May is Sun...so issit 25th May?

When the big guy told me about Classic 5 and I promised to spread the word, the details were as follows:
15th of May.
Wednesday, 10a.m. (Vesak Day)
This tourney is for all those with league averages of 173 and below, or guests that are "approved" by the big man himself.

... abit pissed actually. shariff didnt say i was banned from this leg till someone talked about it. he should have told me himself.
also, the banned score was 198 above. i hit 195.something. kinda irritating.

Ian, lighten up man... pakcik could have been interrogated about the increasing number of competitors with over-174 averages, he has to answer to them too right? It would have been nicer if he told you in person, but let's face it, even if he did... you wouldn't feel that much better anyway
Give the rest of us mortals a shot at the cash lah, besides,
you've already won half of all the tournaments so far, make peace with your $600 man... don't look back in anger

Welcome to Classic Challenge (CC) 5! This coming Thursday 10am @ Classic Bowl!
Okie ! Latest update from Power Torq , courtesy of Uncle Sharrif!
This time round, in CC 5, Uncle Shariff is going to take note of players who avg 188 and above and BAN them from CC 6 in June!
Their eligibility will resume one month later ( in CC 7).
Well good or not? Its going to be implemented this way to make it more "fun"

Once again, we have completed yet another Classic tournament. Didn't seem that long ago after the last one, did it?
Today we had an awesome turnout of 61 participants. Today we had 9 representatives of our own, with 3 of us managing to cash, which were Ding, Jae and myself.
Kudos to Jae for hitting the tournament high score of 257 (!!) but unfortunately he was unable to sustain the assault after an excellent first 5 games.
The rules are like this now, anyone who hits 189 avg or above will not be allowed to participate in the next tourney. So Ian, that's why I believe you were not "invited" to join this one.
Just for competitive reference comparison,
5th place and above = 185 scr avg
11th place and above = 180 scr avg
17th place and above = 175 scr avg
28th place and above = 170 scr avg
The champion averaged a whopping 198.6 avg! Yowsies!

Always make it a point to bowl against yourself, instead of others.
I think you will fare better.
I was struggling in first 2 games because my thumb is too loose, causing me to grab and still working out the lines and everyone. But after I went out for a quick breath of fresh smoke, I told myself to buck up. Which I did...above all, I think most of it is mental and partly consistency for all throws and lane adjustments.
Congrats to all who won and we did our best, Forum bowlers! Nexdt month we should try again, because although it seems like you are wasting money, but its a good gauge of how much u have improved in 1 mth, and getting a shot at the money pot.

Guess too caught up with school stuff these few weeks, but, I've just taken my final exam paper couple of days ago, so no more exams for me, what's left is the TEST OF SOCIETY. So, Rhion, Rhino! you playing in next month's classic challenge? PT, go for your secret training again lah, then play in the challenge.

Well can say that I'm quite pleased with my results in view that this is the first time i'm playing 8 games without my Mechatector.....and also throwing a 15lbs ball. But still got lots of things to be looked into. Yah Jordan! Will be going for training and try to be at Classic Challenge 6!

Well,
It's all about setting target for yourself over the tourney, and then of course followed by exceeding it. Aim for and make a minimum of 175 avg, and you'll get back something for sure. I'm glad I made mine.
The important thing's to maintain concentration over 8 games, and stay focused on just your own game, since there's so many people around you. One shot at a time, worry about just the next frame, forget the last one, strike or miss.
It's quite a bit about luck too, I had so many of what Wongsy would term as "sh*t strikes"!! So what else is new?
But it's a good challenge, no? Thankfully just about everyone (well, almost, anyway) in the Classic Challenge is fun to bowl with. I'm just glad I didn't have Ripleys in our lane... ehhehe probably would have died laughing. He didn't have his usual form though, ended up 33rd. -
