Hanzz, just a feedback on recent weeks' player schedule. I haven't been bowling for 3 weeks... kinda lost touch.
I understand your concerns on every player having similar number of games but to arrange for those who (for some reasons) can't play earlier, to bowl very often now doesn't seem to me a good idea.
I don't think the team will do well if the main reason that we have a group of 4 bowlers to play on that league night is to even out the number games.
Give it some thoughts.

We have left 3 weeks of leg1.
Currently our team is lying third from bottom.....
The next team above us is some 20 pts ahead (i believe so)
So.....what good will it do if we field "point-getting" teams week in week out?
Our position is not gonna change, unless we count on the team above us getting like 2-3 points every session from now til end of leg1.
Cos from leg2 onwards, we are given a clean slate....scores and tables are resetted......
So my stand is,
field those who have had limited chance of playing/haven't played in a long long time.....
1) to get these people into touch with their game
2) give these people league experience!
3) prepare for the next leg!
I mean, our position will not change after 3 weeks, i can bet u on that......so why not give the abovementioned ppl to prove their mettle? -
Hanzz, I understand that.
What I meant to say was that our 2nd leg can not and should not turn into such a situation again...... i wanted to vocie this out in the forum so that you can take some steps to prevent such from happening
We shouldn't penalise those who are more eager to bowl and who came to the team's rescue when there's a shortage of players. There should be a system where if a player is scheduled to play, the captain should record that down as a turn. If the person for some reasons is not able to bowl, the player should swap with another teammate(on their own accord, informing team captain) or forfeit the chance to bowl for the team.
Another suggestion. Team members not being able to make it down on the actual day of league should pay for the games. Captain can then try his best to source for replacement(not easy dude, especially when 2 bowlers last minute fly the captain's kite).
We can't force people to come down if there's genuine reason like last minute work/projects announced on that day's morning etc but paying for the games is what a responsible team player can do for his team. (Compassionate grounds not included)

Please wake up and stop dreaming..... We were never a team with winning capabilities. Forget about the fines and penalties!!! Just bowl and have fun. I hope I am correct about this (looking towards Hanz) And if you are to win, sorry to say you are definitely in the wrong team. Stop complaining.

have to agree with clown. Never did expect our team to do a lot
But.......at least whatever bowler we put out.......that bowler tries his/her best!
I mean, it doesn't mean that if certain ppl average lower than others, that person plays less mah, u have to give everyone a fair chance, an equal shot at the turkeys......Cos ability-wise, some of us may be lower than others, but that group always tries their best to score right? -
