Throw my bowling ball at them to keep their mouth shut! Then they know how the pins feel...... still the pins keep quiet when games are bowled.
Damn pissed with their sportsmanship(rather the lack of it). I must say that I have erred too by what I did to release the built-up mental stress in my soul...
Also wish to stress that not all NUS bowlers are borned cheerleaders, many are regular bowlers like us

Different people approach competitive environments in different ways. Some bowlers play well under noisy conditions, it helps to distract them from the pressure to perform. Like most of you, I'm not like that, I work better under peaceful conditions
Of course, I'm tempted to say that I didn't perform because of all the noise. But that would be wrong, because that's not the real reason. I didn't perform because... well, I suck at it :p
I just hope that one day, I'll be able to bowl well, noise or no noise, coz if I can do that, I believe I'm already halfway there.
So cheer up people, let's see this as a learning oppotunity, not as an accident. Like what harmzuay always says, don't bother about that miss in the last frame, throw the next shot like it never happened. Look ahead. Life goes on. Can't wait to train with you guys again. -

i say a lot of things, and it's the idea that counts.
Here's on for those who are slow-starters, especially in the first couple of frames/games:
If you don't start well, fine. Let your opponent gloat. As long as your final score is higher than his/hers, you win.

Haha! Easier said then done. If u miss a shot, just forget it and go to the next frame. The previous shot just make u lose confidence, esp if its an easy conversion, and esp if there r some "mei niu" looking at you. haha... but I have learned not to look at the scores when bowling, makes me more peaceful.

Granted, it is not an easy thing to do. But amongst other things, that is one of the main differences between a good bowler and a great bowler.
Scores aren't always the best way of telling how good a player is. Anyone can score high on blocked lanes; everyone can display confidence or energy or poise when playing well. It's when the going gets tough - the way different bowlers handle the pressure - that tells those with true ability from those empty vessels.
