The NUS organisers just told us that the competition is now in a foursome format, instead of trios. So after a few mods, this is what the team lineup will potentially look like:

3. Ian Wong, Velu, Bernard Chan, Jeremy Bek
4. Lily, her friend, Lilian, Saf

7. Jason Soh, Bertrand, Clarence Ting, Jeremy Mun
This is just a tentative arrangement, dunno if you guys have any objections?
Suzanne you mind playing with the 3 guys? Don't worry, they're all nice gentlemen. -
The venue is no longer at orchard cineleisure, it is at The Chevrons, the brand new SAF warrent officers' and specialists' club. We'll try to get the exact address, it's near Jurong Entertainment Centre/IMM/Jurong East MRT.

as it stands, we all know the place,the time,and the date.
BUT WE DUN KNOW THE EVENTS AND FORMAT. i wonder if the good pple of NUS Bowling comm can kindly let us know the relevant information BEFORE the rolloff?
lets be candid. i have tried to get the info guys, but they keep directing me to one person after the next saying someone else is in charge. AND, they only keep sending me info on the time and venue. 3TIMES. if it doesnt bother you guys, i would like in fact to stop this competition and boycott for this year if they do not send me the info by tml. thats just my feelings.

Okay this just in...
the venue for SIM/NUS is at Jurong Entertainment Centre, JEC, not at Chevrons anymore.
Apparently the NUS organizing committee was concerned about the new lanes damaging their balls, hence the last minute change.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and we promise that when SIM organizes the event next year, we will reduce all unnecessary changes to a minimum.

hmm...juz wanted to add something...
From what I know and gather, the organization of the NUS/SIM has been rather poor because the person-in-charge seems to be rather busy at the moment.(With what i won't know coz she's in the sub-club and isn't a bowler). Normally if we ask evelyn (the chairperson) she might and would know the details but evelyn has been really busy trying to organize IVP by herself so she might not be totally clear about it. Perhaps there are too many layers of authority so red tape occurs.
As to location changes, if i'm not wrong, we tried to book Cathay lanes and couldn't get any at Orchard coz it's already booked. Chevron was the next best bet but Chevron pple only got back to us yesterday, i.e. 3rd Feb telling us that coz the place is new, the ball return and all might not be working well and could spoil our balls. Besides, they also added that their system is still in testing stages. So we were informed yesterday that that we could not bowl there.
Somehow JEC was then decided on as the venue.
That's an explanation of the situation on our side. So, let's all prepare for the clash on Saturday! =) I know i'm looking forward to it.=)

Gentlemen, Wee gotta do what we gotta. THis saturday is it and I will be there to meet some of the old faces of the good 'ol NUS pple. Some which I haven't met for a long time. It would be good to really compare the standards again,,,best best.
Will be there..this would be my fourth yr dwn...SOmewhere new though..but its a must to really try, good bowler..no matter where also can one. I think its a surlyone..
