hmm....i heard from Shariff that our team's already registered for Season II automatically....
gotta check with him though....
and yes, lets aim for a top 3 finish this time round, after yesterda's performance, im sure we can do it.........

As for the top 3, let's not get carried away. We're not even in the top half of this current season ye know. Perhaps it would be wiser for ye folks to bring it on progressively. -

i agree with prata. the top 3 is not easy.
we'r gonna play against ah cheks who may have been bowling there for the last few decades,
so i think we shld rather, focus our attention on something that we've failed for the first season - ie. our team spirit, and we shall work on building up our personal game as well as our teammates games. 
i'm suggesting on a 'fine' system too, to reward those who have done their part in hitting high games, high averages, etc, and to push ppl (me, for eg.) for being complacent and giving up when our days are bad. -

yeah was thinkin about it last nite....but only if everyopne is agreeable to this....
well......i personally would like the fines system cos it'll help our games no doubt....esp. where money is involved...
haha...ok anyway regarding our top3 finish....
a more realistic target would he 5th place....after all the current season is our so-called "virgin" season.....
by the next season we would be more lao jiao already.....
and most inmportantly yes....build up the team spirit within the camp, improve our games and techniques.....
it will be beneficial in the long run....definitely so... -

I'm supportive of the fines-reward system too.
Many a times I see players just "giving-up" after bad shots or a bad game. What I believe team members wanna see is that the person keeps trying no matter how many splits he have.
If one or a few splits are spared, that will have a great bearing on the team's total pinfall
I for one would be greatly encouraged to try my best and put my best foot forward if all team members play with the team in mind rather than be individualistic.
That said, we should banned all switch in plays/bowling styles during league games. No hook-spin or spin-hook from henceforth.
Also everytime I see a player forgo his personal ball for a houseball halfway thru the game, I'll be affected in some way or another.

a fine system is by all means, welcomed.
however, someone must come up with a logical fine system. no point giving ourselves a standard so high, we are fining ourselves for the wrong reasons.
We need to work out a minimum pinfall for 3 games to be considered a fine and you know....all the other details.
Perhaps, those who played in Eastside League before could come up with a fine system for us, sensible one.

OKAY people......
Pratadude Goh and Emperor Hanz have come up with the following decree which al members of Forum United have to strictly adhere to, failing to pay up will result in rolling heads and splattering blood!
Fines & Rewards System:
Fines :
Games below 160 = $1 fine per game
Games below 140 = $2 fine per game
Rewards :
Every 200 game achieved = 1 point
Every 220 game achieved = 2 points
Ssytem :
At the end of each leg for this 2 legged league, points for each bowler are totalled up. The sum of the points accumulated by all of us will be divided from the fines all of us have accumulated.
Assuming 20 points
Assuming $100 fines
Each point = $5
Let's say i manage to get 5 points
I would get = 5X5 = $25
Easy enuff?
PS : i understand this may not be totally fair, as our team is made up of different skill levels, but it's up to the weaker ones to improve and challenge themselves.
EDIT : Regina has been exempted from the fines and rewards system.....dun wan a pole up muh a**!! -

Do you think Regina will be up to mark in the league games
What's her average like and her being comfortable to face-off with another opponent
We need to get her mentally prepared.
With the team members in then we can settle on what to aim for the new league We must set an achievable standard
Saw the fines system... I think it's fine The pinfalls set per game is a minimum to survive in a league. One thing I would suggest is for all team members to adhere to the system(females included). Maybe with a 10 pin handicap
No point excluding a certain team member who will then come up with sub 100 or sub 130 games...... just my POV -

everyone starts somewhere. if fox and mike saw things from ur point of view ding, i wun be in any leagues at all. and i can safely say most of us here wun even bother to sign up for leagues then. -
Hi Ding, personally I wouldn't mind Regina participating in the league. Even good bowlers get sub-standard scores sometimes. I am not saying I am a good bowler (moi get bad scores most of the time), just that it is a good chance to expose her to competitive bowling. I agree. It can only help her bowling to expose her more to competition. Put her in a league mindset, and let her boggle you with her 550+ series!
