Despite looking forward to this tourney, chuan (virus) looks doubtful to participate. This comes as a double blow after chuan (ankle) worked hard to regain acceptable fitness levels following last weekend's Chung Cheng side derby match.
Nevertheless, he is due for a late fitness test which may see him making a surprise start in Sunday's clash. -

Well, March's Classic Challenge has come and gone!!
As a whole, I suppose we didn't do as well as we had hoped, but kudos to Deamon who did us proud, finishing 4th, and being the only one amongst the forumites to finish in the top 10.
Myself and Tom Lim were the only 2 others to cash, finishing 12th and 20th respectively, out of 59 participants in this tourney.
Without any further ado, here are the stats over 8 games for the 11 forumites (including Hanzz's brother) who took part:

2) Prataman: 1394 pinfalls, 174.3 avg, hi-game 191 (12th position)

6) Hanzzzzzz: 1171 pinfalls, 146.4 avg, hi-game186 (48th position)
7) Ian: 1161 pinfalls, 145.1 avg, hi-game 183 (50th position)
8 ) Discman: 1098 pinfalls, 137.3 avg, hi-game 198 (55th position)
9) PowerTorq: 1077 pinfalls, 134.6 avg, hi-game 174 (56th position)
10) Hanz Bro: 1037 pinfalls, 129.6 avg, hi-game 145 (57th position)
11) Chuanish: 981 pinfalls, 122.6 avg, hi-game 149 (58th position)
Hopefully I didn't leave anyone out. Was Fireball around? And also, I thought VtecAddict was coming to play as well.

made my debut bowling competition 2dae and i am glad i did not crash out too badly.
at least i managed to keep my avg at 137++ and also lucky enough to improve my high-game to 198.
must thank jae for keeping me in the game during my 1st 2 games. the kind of atmosphere is totally different and man, i was overawed -

All i can say is that i'm just glad to be able to improve from my previous positions (7th two mths back and 5h last mth).
Hmm..seems like that as more ppl gets to know abt this competition, the level of the playing field gets higher. Wonder if there's any one who under-declare their league avg? Hopefully not. NOt trying to be sour grapes, but i guess most of u would feel that way isn't it? This mth standards compared to the last 2 mths is somewhat different.
Today able to play well, cos this mth got more exposure to bowling and taking part in leagues. Next mth is exam, so cfm can't play. Will play in may classic. May come, will work on reaching match fitness....
Lesson learnt for me today? well, as usual, miss some spares resulting in three 160++ games and instead of shutting out my opponents, i let them catch up instead. Will work on that after my exams. Hopefully can improve on my 4th position

i also suffering from a thumb problem.
Dunno what happened, but my thumb's first joint suddenly like twisted (u know, like play basketball then kena stubbed by the ball?)..press both sides pain, but not the top.
I had difficulty throwing my last 2 games.
now, my thumb seems to be swollen one side....dunno issit really twisted or wat. cannot bend the first joint.

not really happy about this bout of the classic.
1st off, the damn lanes scratched my newly reconned ball right on the track.
2nd, there were quite afew unsporting pple around.
i doubt i will return for another session. unless i use the warhawk i kapoh as compensation from classic. even then. i will tink twice.
the scratches really broke my heart. -
tink nxt month's gonna hav less pple...due to exams, no $, ball scratch, no form, busy, depression, down, injury, etc etc etc...
