Katong SilverBowl Thursday Foursome League - Leg 2

Well folks,
Kinda late to start a thread, considering we have already completed 2 weeks of leg 2, but the other one was getting very long.
Anyway, just a brief update. Last week we managed to whack a group of youngsters 15-5. Easy meat.
We did a Juventus today. Fully 8 members of the team was not available, leaving the other 4 no choice but to start. The team won 12 points overall, including every team game and overall. The team was Jay P Soong, James, myself and WX. We played a relatively weak team too, but I guess we made mistakes at a wrong time. It could so easily have been a 15-5 repeat. Was not to be, though.
Next week we face middle table "Old Friends". Nice bunch of bowlers to mix with too. Not the super-human type spinners like Ridway Marine who had 3 bowlers averaging 220+ tonight, thank the heavens. Rather I would imagine the 180s - 190s.
Confirmed members of next week's confrontation are Ding and Hayden. Tom? Jae? What say you? Me gonna give WX and Jay a break, and so either James or I will play if either of you 2 won't.
Jason has requested to play the week after next (6th March). James and myself are sorta on "permanent standby". Kevin, Phua and Brendan have requested to be unavailable until they inform me. -

Good news today during training. I widened my thumbhole on Monday and today I tried it out. It lasted me ard 8 games, and at the end of the 8th game, was getting slightly tight. But good news, I had my timing tape AND an insert tape all the way. Thumb was loose in first 3 games, dropping ball. In the middle, GREAT RELEASE! Plus I tried a slower approach, release, ring finger doing work (yes, previously, I didn't use my ring finger at all)....not so bad.
Back to the point, I'm available for next week, thereafter I will be out of action due to mock exams. So, no problemo.

Old Friends I think we faced them on the last or 2nd last game of 1st leg...was it? If so, I played the lady, and only garnered 1 point..

Ding, you have to let me know if your neck can take it asap, I'll need to get a replacement if needed. I myself won't be able to backup, as I am out for action for about 2 weeks due to an inflamed wrist.
Good news though, Mage will soon be available again. We welcome you back to league action. Jay is very much looking forward to bowling with you. -

Yo! MAge! Glad to see you back. Me juz recovered from a sprained wrist, been playing like f**k these two months. My form had taken a drastic dip. Well went to tune up at Eastside Bowl with Dingster, Jae, Tom and Discman.
Did some major adjustment to my bowling balls, hope it will help me in my games tomorrow. Well Tom got another ball and good at it! All the way Tom!
Jae is still sharp, ding is recovering fro a strained neck but tink he can cope...rite Dingster??
As for me...good luck . CHEERS!

got slaughtered today at Katong by "Old Friends".
While they had good games except for that last, we were all struggling to find form. We did get 5 points though, but I tend to think of it as 15 points lost. -

I thought we did relatively quite ok today. I was only just a little kind of disappointed that we didn't gain 2 more points on the third game.
Ding left a solid ten with a perfect pocket that would have gotten a point, and Jae just missed out on a point too. Could have been 7, but I didn't see us getting more than that, based on their form.
Thanks to Brendan for paying the team a visit, despite your busy schedule.
Also lovely to see Deamon, Harmzuay, Chuanish and Ooh join the gang for a round of fun bowling (albeit in 2 separate groups). Always great to see you fellas. Especially that soul patch, eh Chuan?
Next week we are going up against the number 1 team, Ridway Marine. I've already gotten Mage, Jay and WX to play. The last bowler is yet to be confirmed. Strange delight, you ready to be recalled? -

Why not put Humble Jae at the first position since he sort of performs better there -
Maybe I should find a way to get Ding in the team since he seems to have gotten in a groove of late?
But seems like this form only applies in casual bowling though!!!!!
