  ok all u bowling enthusists, there is a talk by Dr Briggs that is recommended by Thomas our coach.
  
  here is the highlights of the talk.
  
  Classroom* (2 hours) :
  Presentation Topics
  Day 1 - Ball Motion & Player Types.
  Day 2 - Sport Science & Ball Properties.
  Day 3 - Mental Game & Lane Condition.
  
  it is a 3 day talk, each day it lasts for 2 hrs. i assume there will be a Q and A session as well.
  
  here is the prices of the programmes.
  1 Day Program : S$280.00
  2 Hours Classroom presentations - Morning.
  5 Hours On-lane instructions - Morning & Afternoon.
  
  2 Days Program : S$550.00
  4 Hours Classroom presentations - Morning.
  10 Hours On-lane instructions - Morning & Afternoon.
  
  3 Days Program : S$800.00
  6 Hours Classroom presentations - Morning.
  15 Hours On-lane instructions - Morning & Afternoon.
  
  if u attend the full course, the sg rep will video u bowling and it will be sent to Dr Briggs for an analysis and he will create a dossier for u when he comes over.
  
  if u are put off by the price... read on.
  if we just go for the lectures, which is the important part for many of us, each day it costs $50. you can choose the topic u wan to attend then go on the particular day.
  
  however. the tireless efforts of the SIM/UOL bowling club is helping u costwise as we understand the financial plight of students.
  we are undergoing negotiations wif the singapore rep of the Dr to do a group session for us and wif CHIJ Toa Payoh at a reduced price ( hopefully)
  however, to do this we need to know the response from u guys b4 we can proceed. pls post in here ur replies

  Ian,
  
  The program which Uncle Thomas Fox is negotiating for the CHIJ and SIM club is a different package from the 280, 550 and 800 dollar packages, with the on lane instruction, as you have mentioned. It's also a different one from the 50 dollars per classroom session. Same topics, but over different days.
  
  I've spoken with Mr Paul Goh, the program co-ordinator, and he tells me that the package he is preparing for Mr Thomas Fox for the SIM/UOL club costs $98 per head, if I don't remember wrongly. So Ian, you have gotten a reduced price alright. However, I think there's also a limit of 20 people and the talks will be held over 2 days, Saturday and Monday (22nd and 24th Feb). Once again, I may have gotten the dates wrong, but I know it's a different package than the ones stated above.
  
  Of course, if you could spare the dough, you could take part in the on lane training sessions. As I understand, the places are filling up fast.

  correct. the package we are getting is a way better deal than the one offered outside. its not the standard package but rather a condensed one.

  the 1st msg wif the 280 price tag is the standard package for the public which we can join.
  
  the other package, the one wif the 98 price tag is the one fox is trying to get for us. space is limited to 20 pple and the space is shared wif another school. so far i have 4 pple. the other sch has around 10 i tink...

  Let's call the SIM/CHIJ package "B" and the normal public package "A".
  
  The details I have garnered for you, and have informed Ian.
  
  $98 dollars Package B includes:
  
  1) 2 hours classroom talk on Sunday 23rd Feb 9-11am at Singapore Poly. (to be held at the same time with Package A, means both groups from A and B are attending the same class)
  
  2) 2 hours on lane session on Monday Feb 24th 4-6pm at an alley yet to be confirmed. (separate from Package A)

  I met Thomas today.
  
  In addition to what has been said so far, Thomas has said that he's trying to negotiate with the keynote speaker to spend at least 5 minutes of one-on-one time with each bowler during the 2 hour practical lane session. This is for package 'B'.
