Here's the overall stats summary for the team at this point in time, after the first leg (11 sessions).
The list is sorted by upgraded average (to determine hdcp) in descending order.
Sorry for the layout. Sgforums disallows spaces, I try my best to make it legible.
Stats include number of games played, scratch averages, upgraded averages, handicap and individual points won.
Note: The bigger the difference between scratch and upgraded average, the higher number of games below 160 was scored. (which means to say it's a measure of consistency, or rather, inconsistency)

All rite pple, round 1 is finally over. It's time for round 2. We will be meeting all the teams again. This time we have first hand intelligence on our opponents. All our members also have more league experience. Let us maintain focus and bowl some high averages!
I came to notice that sometimes we play for ourselves, more concerned about ourselves, individual performance rather than playing for the team. Think there’s inadequate “feeling” that we are part of a team. Think all of us might be guilty of this at one time or another. We should develop this feeling to play as a team rather than only for individuals. Our army calls it “Team Spirit”. A soldier cannot hope to win a war without the support of his mates, even if he has the best fitness, wits and marksmanship skills. Even Batman needs an occasional helping hand from Robin. He knows he can punch his way out with his trusty teammate. –A word of encouragement goes a long way!
HmmmÂ…some of us are improving quickly; those who are not, I am sure, are working hard on it. I am sure you will improve your averages this time round. We had yet to demonstrate our abilities at its maximum. From pratamanÂ’s analysis, we always do not have all 4 on-form during league sessions. LetÂ’s hopeÂ…no, letÂ’s all bowl our best every single session.
Hayden set a 170 target average for himself. I too set a target for myself. Let us set a target of 2000 pinfalls per league session, scratch! Which means everyone have to bowl 500 pins over three games, an average of 167 per game. If anyone missed that in a game, don't worry, you just have to try your best in the next game. Your teammates will try their best to cover for you!

2) Dun let emotions take control
3) Bowl against the pins, not the scoreboard
Generally for league teams, their first criteria of selecting members will always be the ability of the members to gain points. Other criteria will include:
1) allowing the member to gain experience,
2) maintaining the number of games bowl between each and every member
3) lastly, will be the availability of the members.
Think we should allow our members to gain as much experience as possible and at the same time, maintaining the similar number of games bowled between each, unless the member is not free.
Yvonne once told me about a cab driver who asked her what's so difficult about bowling that one have to take lessons. Another forumite once had doubts about this sport and asked about its objectives. For me, guess I like to compete and win. For harmzuay, he did say he enjoyed the sport very much. Everyone have his/her own reasons why he/she bowls, but I am sure most picked up this sport because of interest and the adrenaline rush he/she experienced in the first place. Let us applaud our ability to enjoy and experience bowling that not many people can.

I'm disappointed with getting only 6 points for the team. It's even more frustrating that my usual average isn't that low. Oh well, there's only up to go.
I shall set targets too. My scratch average shall climb to 172.8 (in order to still qualify for the tourneys) before i'm done with Forum United. I'll bowl straight if i have to to ensure the team rockets up the board. -

Yes, we must all set reasonable yet challenging targets for ourselves.
I'll probably get about 4 more sessions in the league, and I wish to average above 180 overall. That would mean averaging 184.4 over 12 games. Let's round it up to 185 average from here on in.
For you, Harmzy, you're also probably going to get 4 more sessions, so.....you'll have to average 186.3 over 12 to get to 172.8 overall.

Update on first session of Leg 2.
It's a good start....great I must say. We manage to secure 13.5 points.
1) Yvonne, won 2 points, updated handicap 20
2) Weixiang, won 4 points, updated handicap 14
3) Jordan, won 2.5 points, updated handicap 15
4) David, won 2 points, updated handicap 13.
Team won 2 points, plus a point overall, total 13.5 points.
Once again, good job fellows.

Just a little background for the 4 of you playing next week,
Next week's opponents, Capital Lane, are mostly made up of Malays. Relatively speaking, they are weak, with the exception of 1 or 2 of them. They are in the bottom 3 of the league, I believe.
So... important to get to a good start so that you can apply early pressure on them and force them to make good shots to beat you. Key will be keeping your shots in play. -

Well well well. Fun bowling revealed Hanzzzz is a a great form and I ending up with three bad games....guess too long never bowl ( one week)

Lets hope we perform as well as those in the katong league....16 points....204 avg for weixiang....and a minimun of 170 avg for the others......excellent.
Let's target personal best performances....and see if we can get 15 points.
All we have to do is keep our strikes up, our spares adequate, and like prata says, keep ball in play (think should apply to me more, cos my ball always drop into the gutter during critical moments) and watch our opponents crumble to dust.......
