You won't get penalised that's for sure.
But if u throw with the right hand, and slide with ur right foot, that's technically wrong.
firstly, u can't get enough balance as ur entire weight falls to ur throwing hand side. You might have to a tendency to tilt to the right. If you force urself to tilt left to counter the effect, u end up with inaccurate throws.
2ndly, brudder....ur right leg slide, won't it be a hindrance to the ball?

I think if you try that too often, u might get plenty of knocks on ur right ankle, knee....whereever the swing goes.
What u can do is learn to slide with the other leg. You can do plenty of simulations at home. Try each step slowly, and learn to slide with ur left. Be sure to put ur weight on the left foot and slide deep. The right leg swings behind for balance. Read up forums and articles on the right approach for more details.
I am one of those who have no slide, or very minimal slide because I have problems balancing my entire weight on the right leg(I'm a left-hander). My body tilts slightly to the left, so my counter to this was to lead with the chest out. This forces me to move forward in an upright position so the upper torso is straight(abit of angle due to a slight forward lean). But at least I can balance more, and slide abit already. HEEEE...
