first, dropping grabovac is a stupid option. Sure, he's not scoring, but so ISN'T OWEN, VAN NISTELROOY and FORLAN. But given time, when you need them most, they deliver. You drop a star player, you're bound to be left open. Egmar alone tokk on 2 to 3 defenders everytime. How can he score??? Turn anywhere and a defender is on him.
That coupled the fact Poulsen doesn't play Indra in the first 11. And replacement Fadzuhasny didn't even qualify to replace Grabovac. His place was taken by over enthusiastic Alam Shah who is more concern with keeping the ball at his feet, how to score?
Passing is atrocious. Try to play like Man U or Liverpool and you get shocker of a pass. How many times has that 10M...and I say, 10M or LESS, that pass has gone astray and not to the feet of the player?
What was Noor Ali running ard the field, dribbling and CANT SCORE? took too many touches on occasions to take a strike and the Malaysians nip it away.
D Bennett is better off at Wrexham than here. He was influential on occasions, but when the defence needs him toe most, he's nowhere. 2 goals were scored with him out of position. And yes, he was supposed to be marking the scorer on those occasions.
All in all, disappointing.
Don't count on S'pore thrashing Laos. They look impressive against Thailand, losing out thanks to 3 quck goals in 26 mins in the first half. That killed them. But 2nd half, they came back strong. I think S'pore is going to find it hard to knock Laos out. -

also, these stupid footballers mostly were clerks and chao kheng privates that dun know the meaning of being tough and ready. how to play football... all they do is drink and absorb finance reserves. better not play football singapore. might as well use the cash paid to S league to absorb GST and use for Schoolkids PocketMoney Fund.
All in all... SG Soccer sucks big time. -
Ya man, I agree they sucks... but at least they have kept my hopes(& spirits) alive for another day
Let's see how they perform against Thailand(who suffer the same fate as us) They definitely show more commitment against Laos

The freemun speakth at last..iN a long awaited saga...At least the S'pore slackers showed some gusto when they held the Thais to a draw last night.,But still no excuse to the way they played against Malaysia.
One thing I don understand...What the hell is that Zulkarnian doing in the squad still..He should be somewhere else selling prata or Nasi Padang .,.He is a real slacker on the ball I must say. I saw NOh ALam Shah played in Yishun and in the neighbouring estates and I must credit him but the way he played in the Stadium is a real letdown..machiam kena possessed by a
witch or something,
I think the FAS should not apologised for the way S'pore played and they should do whats neccesary,.They should bring down the female Chinese Team down from China or the US women's team and giv e the 'Boys' here a good spanking on their balls.
But to weigh off my comments, I feel that the term 'KELONG' plays a great foothold in the competition over here, a Thai player can easily accept 10k from the bookies and do whats neccessary to screw up the match and he can ask his friend to go to any S'pore Pool outlet to punt against his own country, that applies to all the rest..even our lads.

Whatever SPort there is..the term 'PAssion plays a huge role in determining what is the outcome of the skill level that is demonstrated in it.
I was in Barcelona, the lads over there play in soccer field made of cement. The passing game and the intensity is obviously at its highest level..The climate does matters a lot obviously as throughout the whole game..you don even sweat at all, that was in winter, but your mucus would start to flow continuously from your nose..They live by the game..every game is like a gangfight..YOu go into it and you don expect to come out alive..your soul, your blood and your spirit,,everything is all in the field for 90 mins...and we talk about "pride'in wearing our national colors where the only color they wear is an imitation "Rivaldo;" Jersey. Or a Patrick KLuivert Jersey. The winning team only gets a pat on the back by their counterparts who do not go around asking them :What time is it"

I think pple are just looking at results...after spending so much on soccer, where S'pore coach can be paid S$25k per mth and do no quality control...not justifiable lor...
S$25k leh...some pple one yr salary lor.
After so much toting and then this kind of disappointing results...u pple noe or not, these soccer players quite ya ya some more... as though they are the best in the world 1...met some while jogging at the stadiums...they act like king like tat
Send them for some commando or navy seal training...than maybe we can win the tiger cup.
