Maybe we change the game to gor-li (marbles)Originally posted by Ding:Reflecting on last night's "performance" by our lions(more like pussy cat ), it will take a long long loooonnnng lllooooonnggg time. Ok, u get the point
If they make it to 2010 finals(FAS, u hear me), I will donate 10% of my estate(whatever I own...) to further the clause of soccer.
Sadly... it'll be hard for me to part with my monies.
I am very willing
for soccer if they wanted to invest foreign talents, they shud target young players not thirty somethings... with due rescpect to the players...Originally posted by Ding:Reflecting on last night's "performance" by our lions(more like pussy cat ), it will take a long long loooonnnng lllooooonnggg time. hahahahaha.... btw u lunch so late???Originally posted by Ding:ok, going lunch now. Wonder if those pussy cats that played last night have an appetite
hehehehe... nothing to be ashamed of coz this is wat majority of the singaporeans are... brainwashed and spoon fed... no offence...Originally posted by Ding:Back from a quick lunch
Normally lunch around 12pm... today not much appetite(maybe due to last night's shameful thrashing ) but I felt better now after postings on the forum
What a therapy
Whether can local sportsman/woman make it to international level very much depends on the support they get...Originally posted by Ding:But I feel that Singaporeans can make it in the international scene.
But definitely not those kittens that the whole nation witnessed(shame on them)...... can wear national jersey still play at this uncommitted level.
How do you expect the fans last night to feel
Cheated ... no. More than that ...... hopefully we can dismissed it as another bad day and that they can come back stronger The looks on their face(after the match) says it all... Tiger Cup is over for S'pore.
The team is more suited to play Pussy Cup. There's no desire to win... no commitment towards one another... no accountability... simply said... no pride.
I really think they are too spoon-fed. To them win or lose meant juz another day. No effect on their careers and monthly pay-cheque
Do you think they care about the nation's pride
*Ding shakes head*
the salary a soccer player in singapore is not much... if i did not remember wrongly... in the golden days of Quah Kim Song, Dollah Kassim they get paid about of 2 or 3 bucks per training session... dun forget that if they kena one bad tackle and their playing days can be gone forever...Originally posted by Ding:Maybe I'm too harsh but I guess many would be in my shoes than in Prataman's
We can forgive but we should never forget this lesson that the Malaysian team had taught us.
It's now up to the lions to show us that they have that fighting spirit in them
Run your hearts out boys
BTW, I think the soccer players earned enough to support themselves & family. Many other Singaporean(who watched the match) earn less than them......
those days sports are being played through passion... nowadays it is the money that counts....Originally posted by Ding:Although I'm still a school boy then, I still remember the good old days of M-league & M-cup where the atmosphere in the stadium is terrific on match days. Those are the days where teams are reluctant to visit the stadium for their electrifying away games.
The kallang roar... the kallang waves... lots of fun & shouting "refs kayu"
