When the employee handed in his/her registration letter, Mr Sim actually came and rejected that letter. No doubt a great boast to the motivation of the employee to work harder. Think that's "Forgive and embrace,"
I think JFK would meant the formerOriginally posted by FireIce:hhhmm
i dunno how to read JFK's mind but my interpretations are...
forgive ur enemies....but still will rber their name in case in future have chance to be fren...
(from wat i know abt the american culture....they always make sure they remember their frens' names, eben after a long time....)
or
forgive your enemies....but always remember this "lesson"
IMHO, I would be thinking more like Harmzuay than what I had written above on JFK's thought(assumed)Originally posted by harmzuay:To forgive but not forget means that we should always let bygones be bygones. But to not forget means that we should remember the reasons why things went wrong to prevent future incidences.
E.g., A treasured employee embezzles and is caught red-handed. This individual does not have previous negative records and in fact is a very productive person who has secured many important contracts for the company. We may not fire him/her, but we forgive them for their wrong-doing. We do not, however, forget about it because that's simple irresponsibility (for instance, we shouldn't treat it like nothing happened and continue to let them handle finances).
I hope that makes sense.
