How much weight can I drill out of a ball

I'm looking for a 14 to 14.5 ball, someone is offering some a 15+ lbs which is a little difficult to control for me. How much weight can I actually drill out of it?

Well, u can drill everything out an just leave the Core.... Then u can have all the control u want....

You can drill out as much weight as you like as long as you stay within the legal limits:
Specifications on balls weighing 10.01 pounds or more, which are what most adult league bowler's use, are as follows: top weight, 3 ounces; finger weight, 1 ounce; and side weight, 1 ounce. -
Problem is, it's not exactly a good idea weight from a bowling ball by drilling plenty of holes in them.
They not only look ugly, but you can't really remove a substantial amount of weight from the cover of a ball. Most of the weight of a ball that heavy comes from the core.
I believe there's a limit to the number of holes you can drill anyway, just can't remember how many. -
I recall reading something on that in the PBA forum. Maximum number of holes you can drill... twelve? One for each finger plus 2 balance holes... something like that, or at least as incredible.

Well, normally people just whack at most 4-5 holes... I wonder why set such a high limit?

i think it's legal to bowl with 2 hands, using all digits. Someone should keep a international rulebook for situations like this.

Can you imagine how a ball has to be drilled with 2 thumb holes and 8 finger holes, so that a bowler can use both hands to bowl?

Ok, that being the case, I take back what I said just now. In THIS case, you sure can take out a substantial amount of weight by drilling holes in the ball!!! -

dun bother...i cleared out that place already. all cash converter has now is a brunswick lazer and some balls older than Ding's. Jae got the best deal there, his quantum.
