Shortcomings?
Too numerous to mention, but I'll highlight the 3 biggest weaknesses in my game.
1) Topping
There's nothing wrong in having a low track, but when you turn the hand as much as I do BEFORE getting the thumb out of the ball, it results in a topped shot. So not only is it a low tracking ball, it's also a weakly spun hook, which robs me of any power I would have hoped to achieve.
2) Lack of confidence
Ever feel like you've released the perfect shot? Of course you have. Problem is me is I simply don't think I can repeat it! It's most likely because I didn't know what I did RIGHT! And it's most disappointing when the next shot goes awry. And that happens because I didn't believe that I could do it again.
3) Focus
Dunno about you, but I'm easily distracted. I can easily pinpoint something going on 6 lanes away when I should really be focusing on the pins at the end of MY lane! Obviously this loss of concentration is detrimental to good shot making.
