Guess I'll bring my trusty one two punch combo of Vortex II Pearl and Eraser Blaze. Dun need the high enders with the amount of backend we witnessed last Monday!

read about the Vortex II Pearl. Its length is more than the Particle, less hook but more backend issit?
I was looking at 3 balls, but I still dunno the price yet.
Mainly, Columbia 300 Game, Ebonite Matrix Dynasty and Ebonite TPC Warrior.
They have almost similar ratings, the 14lbs....and I'm kinda interested..but I dunno the price though....DUH. -

I never understood.
Why do you people call me "harmy"? I mean, it has the same number of syllables as harmzuay... and spelling "harm" is shorter than "harmy".

The high swing never did work out, unfortunately. I suppose Ding and WX had the opportunity to see me test it, but urm... guess it wasn't meant to be. Felt weird, probably looked worse.
But I'll let you know what I think the conditions are like after next league outing. From what I saw, we're going to need equipment that will be able to roll up early, yet have something that won't overreact in the backend. The backends were not only clean, but the oil wasn't very long to start with. What I'll need to know if it's a christmas tree at the top of the oil or a flat block. -

I hate christmas tree backends. The oilier the backend, the better for me. I guess that ain't gonna happen. Heh heh. Oh well, looks like another local alley who's saving lane conditioner... -

Why an early rolling ball? Not early as in "early" (think Brunswick in the late 90s), but earlier than your usuals will suffice. Because the oil seems to be rather heavy in the middle, even though it's short. And across the middle is where I'm going to play, where the oil is. If we open it up quickly, then Kevin, Jordan and I will have a bigger area to fool around with.
In addition, having the ball roll up that bit earlier would remove some of the jumpiness in the back, which Quantum experienced early on with his Triton Thunder Road The purple one, anyway. Switching to his Rage (Outrage? Gold Rage?) was a good move. Hmmm but that was with just 1 RH Hook bowler... now we have 3 this Monday .... hmmmmmm -
I was thinking that early rolling balls bite earlier. And if the pattern is short, that would mean a breakpoint that's too early and loss of energy. Not to mention everyone will keep shifting left!!

Yessir, early rolling balls bite quicker. But I stress, slightly quicker rolling, not too much. With the lighter pins and flying backends, premature loss of energy won't be as much of a pain as trying to find the pocket consistently.
Haven't seen you bowl for a while now, though. If your revs and speed are about the same as I've last seen you bowl (during the pre-orientation bowl in Orchard), then you're going to need a relatively lower flaring ball.
Guess the main challenge for us is to find a combination that would allow us to control the breakpoint. -
yeah! never thought much about the oiling at classic when I bowl there, until harmzuary and prataman mention abt it. I almost always experienced dry backends when I bowled there. There was once I played outside line using my bluedot, and it goes comfortably into the pocket, and, if you guys remembered, I dun have high revs.

I am using a triton elite at first and i switch to my Gold Rage(fav ball)
But i am thinking of bring my Storm Superpower on next Monday leh! What do you think of that ball?

have been bowling at classic last few months and like airgrinder, not really considered the oiling much...juz that i know it's quite friendly lanes...though i've had bad days before...where any ball i throw will juz over hook...ahaha.... -
Point to note.
Just like to mention that the league is actually an upgraded handicap league.
So for any of you guys who score below 160 for a game, your handicap is calculated as if your game score was 160, not whatever you bowled.
So for example, if you hit a 140 140 230 (170 avg), normally you will have a 15 handicap. But for this league, your 2 140s will be upgraded to 160 for the purposes of calculating handicap only, therefore (200 - ((160+160+230)/3))/2 = 9. Rather than the 15 you would normally be getting.
Morale of the story. Try our best each game, don't get below 160. This league doesn't allow you to pull handicap. Even if your opponent is scoring 250, try to score as much as you can.[/b] -

Espacially the synthetic doesnt really allow the ball to really bite,.the oil all carried down but nice surrounding to bowl.
