What's the different number in the bowling balls mean?

  To all bowlers out there, care to enlighten me?
  
  I only know it represent the weight of the bowling ball, with the lowest no. means the lightest, correct?
  
  Then, what is the exact weight of each of the bowling ball? And what's the range of the nos.?
  
  It would be good if anyone can recommend me a website to read more about bowlings.

  yea. they meant the weight. but like a well-machined crankshaft, there are always tolerances. It is usually hard to get balls at exactly the same weight. There will always be some plus, minus. To get the exact weight, use the weight balance in the proshop.

  Multiply that number by 6 then if ur weught is around there... that's the one u use...
  Or...
  Maybe it determines the board u should be throwing at...
  
  Frankly, when i saw ur topic, i tot u were referring to the one at the bottom of the ball, next to the MADE IN USA...

  do u mean weight in lbs multiplied by 6 = bowler's weight in kg

  Are you sure the number to use is 6? I tried that and got a number way below my weight. And I used a 16lb ball in my sums.

  You're 16 years old and 52kg is underweight? I guess you must be really tall. Don't worry about the mass thing. It's just a guide. There are exceptions to the rule.
