Maybe this will depend on what you want from the league.Ding raised a good point that I had forgotten to mention. This "team selection" is of course for purposes of competition and hopefully winning something.

increase the difficulty of the scenario?
tomorrow is the last league game and it is the decising game for top placing. your line-up is left with one slot for one of the following team-mates:
a. your best friend. screwed up the last game and desperate to redeem himself. very emotional and badly want to win the game for the team. when he's good, he's very good. but when he's screw up, he screw up big time.
b. consistent player. if he is in the selection and all of them perform as per normal, the chances of winning the league is extremely high.
who would you pick? hehe.

great analysis.Originally posted by airgrinder:If the leader of the team chose Mr B: then the person generally show traits of a good leader. He chosed the team with the highest chances of winning.
If the leader chose Mr A: then I would think he is a even better leader, someone with compassion. You're giving your friend a 2nd chance. I think that's a very noble decision. Of course there will be a lot of negative stuff if the friend fails to redeem himself. Sort of like politics. When everyone's rich, nobody says anything; when people's losing money, everyone have their own "correct" ideas about how bad the in-charges' perform.
