Excellent. Simply excellent. We managed to collect 9 out of 16 points in the individual stakes, but only managed 1 out of 5 for the team games. Overall we lost by the narrowest of margins, 10-11. If not for WX's late charge, we would have lost by 8-13.
Our dudes Jae, Ian and WX managed to snare 3 points apiece, but poor MingTing got overwhelmed by her consistent opponent.
Here are the stats for the bowlers:

Ian drops 1 pin to 164 and handicap still maintains at 18.
Jae leaps 4 pins to tie Ian at 164 and gets a handicap of 18.
MingTing drops 6 pins to 141 and maintains her handicap of 36.
Yay! WX can anchor next week liao!

As expected, we managed to get 2 points for round robin. Juz Us got 3 points whilst Jedi got mauled 17-4 by Hi-Rev (yay) and got 1 point. Eagles once again got 0 points for round robin.
Where does that leave us?
We are STILL in 7th place. But we are NOT far away! We must keep on striving! We have 132.5 points. Jedi has fallen to 6th place, 4 points ahead with 136.5 points. Juz-Us are now in 5th just 1 point ahead of Jedi with 137.5 points. Hmmm the chase is on!

In the 3rd leg of the season, I'll do my utmost to schedule every bowler to bowl against teams they haven't played against yet.

Well, it's easier to explain to you at a bowling alley. There are several kinds of splits.
In layman terms, a split occurs where you have more than 2 pins standing after you have thrown your first ball
Pins(or 2 or more sets of pins) will be a distance away from each other
That's the best I can do for now 
Go down to any bowling alleys and inquire the counter staff. I am sure they will be glad to assist new bowlers

To sup Ding's explanation, "split" can be defined as pins left after the first throw, such that they are a distance from each other. Examples are 2 pins on the extreme left and 1 pin on the right. hehe. that's isnt layman for sure, just to add it to what you guys explained. as i mentioned, its from another source.
perhaps the writer to this statement sees that a "split" with pin1 standing is easier compared to other "split" situation, thus not classifying it under the "split" category.
maybe we should redefine it then..

Hmmm 4th place is not exactly unattainable, but that's being really very very optimistic. Attaining the "Best of The Rest" title (read: 5th place) is certainly much more realistic!
It all starts with not getting annihiliated too badly next Tuesday. Tigers have been looking very impressive after their mauling at the hands of Hi-Rev.

I like baby splits, especially so if it's made up of the the 3rd and 9th pins. Feels kick ass upon sparing.

Oh yah, 2-8 and 3-9 are sleepers, 2-7 and 3-10 are baby splits. Baby splits can be made up of 4-6, 7-9 and 8-10 pins as well.

some source seems to label only 2-7 and 3-10 as baby split.
for goal-post look alike, they term it as big-ears, big four, double pinochle, golden gate, railroad, bed posts and etc.
anyway, what the heck, just spare them all.

I also feel that baby split's refer to 2-7 & 3-10 only.
The rest of the splits are younger brother splits, elder brother splits & grandpa/grandma splits all bigger than baby splits loh -

Sorry for the delay lahhhhh..... wanted to get the confirmed numbers before posting.
I've got it now, finally.
For all the Wu-Songs on Tuesday, great job!!! My mum told me that they were really quite confident of wiping us out. Well, I did get wiped out, but they sure weren't expecting such a valiant effort from the team!!! Once more, stupendous job!
In the process, a couple of new season records were set.
Jae now owns the team's high game, as his 233 in his second game eclipses Dingster's previous high of 231.
The team sets a game series high of 799, in our 2nd game, which is 2 pins better than the 797 set against Just Lucky in week 8.
The team also sets its best total series of 2190 (2379) which is a whopping 74 pins higher than the previous best of 2116. Excellent stuff.
With such a good series, we managed to get a season high 5 round robin points!!! A first. We managed 4 points 4 times before.

More importantly though, we managed to grab 6 points out of 21 from their grasp. This will help us greatly going into the final leg. Of course, before that we still have K-Force to worry about.
Now to the players.
Jae was quite well matched with his opponent, scoring a great 233 game enroute to a 179 (170, 233, 133) avg vs his opponent's 177 (207, 134, 189) average. I'm sure he would have liked to finish better, but hey, not everyday we get praised by Jack Wong. Hehehe 2 points for Jae, avg moves to 166, hdcp drops to 17.
Ian also put together a superb series, hitting a 193 (159, 196, 224) average, almost matching his consistent opponent, who was no slouch with a 209 (201, 194, 233) average series. A very hard earned 2 points. Ian's average moves up to 167, handicap drops to 16.
Dingster did not flinch (too much) in the face of Mr. Perfect Jack Wong, hitting a consistent 193 (163, 210, 205) average. A withering 222 (223, 243, 199) Jack Attack means that Dingster did brilliantly to get his 1 point. Average for Ding climbs again to 172, handicap now falls to 14.
Ouch. Save the worst for last, it seems. I was consistently inconsistent, posting a 165 ( 169, 160, 168 ) avg, with 2 cannonball shots that no doubt left craters in the lane. My opponent laughed his way to a 206 (216, 188, 215) average to whitewash me 4-0. My average drops to 175, handicap maintains at 12.

Team news:
With 13 of the 21 weeks now gone, we find ourselves back in 6th place with 132.5 points. We are fully 10 points behind Juz-Us, but we are 3 points ahead of Jedi Knights. Hmmmm we have the consolation of knowing that Juz-Us has to face Just Lucky next week, so we sure ain't going to count out the possibility of finishing as high as 5th going into Leg 3. However, we need to ensure a good result against K-Force.
Brendan, Louis and WX will lead the charge, I haven't yet decided on a 4th bowler. Will try to confirm 1 ASAP.
