Here are the highest series, highest game, and current average of each bowler, followed by how many sessions.
(HS = High Series, HG = High Game, CA = Current Average)
David - HS 589, HG 227, CA 177 - 6
WXman - HS 587, HG 216, CA 173 - 5
Dinghua - HS 573, HG 231, CA 169 - 7
Kehan - HS 522, HG 226, CA 168 - 4
Ian - HS 595, HG 224, CA 165 - 6
Jae - HS 509, HG 222, CA 160 - 5

As you can see, Ian leads the series high with 595, and Ding leads the high game with 231.

Alright team,
The battle for 5th place heats up. Very close fight now.
4th is still a far way away (K-Force), and the top 3 are even further. Eagles are condemned to 8th spot.
Before this week, we were 7th place, 7 points behind Juz-US and 9 points behind Jedi.
After the dust has settled, we find ourselves in 6th place, just 2 points in front of 7th place Jedi Knights and 4 points behind Juz-US.
Fyi, we managed to collect 4 round robin points. Good job! -

Hmmm Kehan can't confirm if he can play for sure, classes seem to have gotten postponed to Tues night. Looks like I have to be prepared to do battle tomorrow night after all.
Hmmm looks like the boyz (Jae and Ian) are back earlier than I thought. Well, you fellas will see action next week versus Juz-US together with Louis and probably either Weixiang or Kehan.

Dingster's right. We got mauled again last night by Hi-Rev.
Hi-Rev seems to be our bogey team alright. Last leg they smashed us 18-3. This time wasn't much better, they smashed us again 17-4 Wasn't pretty.
Last time against them our total was 1801 (2053), this time round we did improve with a 1911 (2121) total, but hell it wasn't enough. They posted a 2202 (2355) series total to dominate all team games, plus overall. We got zilch for team series.
Now on to the individuals. A gallant 177 (188, 182, 161) avg by anchorman WX was not enough to halt his spinner opponent, who scored a 198 (210, 183, 201) avg. 1 point by WX. He pushes his average up by 1 to 174, handicap remains at 13.
Dingster found his range late on, to post a credible 175 (177, 156, 193) avg against his lady opponent. She managed a 171 (168, 166, 189) avg, but it was not enough to beat our big man. Dingster comes away with 3 excellent points. Avg moves to 170, and handicap still remains at 15.
Now comes the ugly part.
Mr. Showtime (Kehan) dug himself a big hole, and could not climb out of it. He stuttered to the finish line with a 143 (137, 164, 128 ) avg. Not pretty. His opponent had none of it, scoring a 188 (192, 197, 175) avg to sweep our beleaguered "hookanathan". 0 points for Kehan. His avg dips 5 pins to 163, handicap moves up to 19. (On a related note, our team's second "hookanathan" Ian now moves up to 4th place on our team's average list at 165)
LiangCheng showed flashes of striking brilliance, but equally showed poor spare shooting on his way to a 142 (133, 150, 142) avg. His opponent had no problems sweeping him aside with a 174 (171, 181, 169) avg. 0 points for LiangCheng. Avg dips by 2 to 145, handicap still at max, 26.
Our consolation is that Juz-Us themselves got utterly destroyed by the rampant Tiger Bowling Team. However, Jedi wasn't too bad against K-Force at all. I don't have the exact figures, but I figure we've dropped back again to 7th place, just a few points behind both these teams.

Now.
On to next week's fixture:
We face Juz-Us!! Our best chance to CrUsH them fully, more importantly to create a gap between ourselves for some breathing space.... we're going to need it, for after that we face Tiger, K-Force and Just Lucky in that order. Last time out we managed a total of 15.5 pts from these 3 fixtures! (not inc. round robin, of course)
Tickets to play in next week's league game seem to be a very hot commodity!
Let's see now:
Ian (hand itchy), Jae (hand itchy), Louis (wants to play Juz-US), LiangCheng (wants practice for school selection), Dinghua (erm, always want to play), Weixiang (haven't played Juz-Us, wants redemption), Brendan (excited to impress) are all willing and have expressed an interest to play. I myself was slated to play. Sorry boys, but some of us will have to be disappointed... ....
MingTing and Louis are desperately short on matches played, too.
I haven't exactly decided on how to approach this game. Shall we field our "weaker" bowlers since we aren't facing a particularly strong team? Or shall we field our "stronger" and most consistent bowlers so as to maximise points? Should I play bowlers against teams they haven't played against? Dilemma!
Please also note our next 3 fixtures after this match involve rather powerful teams. Hence I do not wish to overwork/overplay some dudes. (Yes, Dingster, I'm particularly talking about you.)

We managed to sneak in one round robin point! Apparently Juz-Us got dealt a heavier blow by Tiger than I thought!
My mum can't remember exactly the figures, but she thinks we're only 2 points behind Juz-Us now. Which means they only got 3 points out of 21. -
i would figure that wif mingting and louis as the 1st 2 bowlers followed by me and jae should be enuff to polish themoff.
a safer alternative is to let either one play, prob louis, then put 3 safer bowlers. jae me and maybe either brendan or the hookanathan.
my opionion is to rest u and ding for the upcoming matches.
alt,let wx or the lower handicap players play this round to raise their handicap to prepare for the tougher opponents.

I have to say, all this talk about who to field sure sounds like squad-rotation policy in soccer!! Haha.

Be mindful of your decisions, Bowling Manager 2002/2003. Players might voice their displeasure by not turning up for training, or simply perform badly during crucial matches.
Personally, i like to issue fines, saves the club some money.
Also, it may help to field players with a "Big Matches" rating of 15 to 20. -

Thanks for visiting, Harmzuay. You are right in a way. I suppose it's sorta like what you hear as "a good problem" in soccer, having too many players, who are all raring to go! Which is really great, I must say
I want the squad to do well, but I also want everybody to play some games, so as to make their registration fee's worth. Unfortunately, sometimes it's hard to achieve these objectives at the same time.
Fine them for games below 170, Chuano? The players will tell you that our coffers will be filled by now. Big match ratings don't seem to apply to these players!! They get up and down unpredictably, against both good and poorer teams. Being the inexperienced bowlers we are, consistency will always be an issue.
Hence the little dilemma.
Hopefully you 2 can join us next time. Really. Plus Titan too. It'll be superb.... maybe even 2 squads. I think we have enough people. Plus Deamon and Airgrinder plus the ladies, you know. -
BM2002/2003 strikes!
Scores are out. We're officially in 7th place, 11 points behind 5th placed Jedi (who won impressively 14-7 against 4th place K-Force). More importantly, we're just 2 points behind Juz-Us now.
Just for interest's sake, we're 41.5 points above the hapless Eagles.
Hmm..... team selection, team selection... ....
I'm indecisive like that.

Myself and Dingster will be on hand for standby.
Next week's combatants against TIGER! (20th Aug):
A combo of 4 from Jae, Ian, Dinghua, Weixiang and myself.
Basically our bigger guns.
Final week of leg 2, versus K-FORCE (27th Aug) will feature:
Louis, Brendan and Jae, with the 4th bowler unconfirmed for now.
Point to note: Kehan has classes to attend on Tuesdays, and until further notice from himself, he's going to be unavailable for most of the games from now on. No more showtime liao. He did mention he might "pongtang" when his hand feels itchy.

Although we may have went for the sweep if their 1st bowler isn't so good last nite. Poor MT's too pressurized by her opponent's consistent play

especially enjoyed the last moment of the last game where WXman staged an enormous come back to win another pt for himself and to clinch that team game comfortably
