Had no idea it was you. There were so many of you before the current team that i didn't bother to check who was who. Anyway, of the balls available now, I think the Core Power HRG from Storm should work rather well for you. It won't be the most versatile, though. It could also be too aggressive. I haven't really been keeping with the balls nowadays, so if there's anything else, just post it here and I'll look it up.

The game is an old ball and unless you know a place that carries it, you're going to have some trouble finding it. The monster hook should still be available, but i have no idea where. Pricing-wise, singapore pro-shops usually go about $280 and above. -

Core Power HRG, high RG (i think its the highest to date) with high flare. I think the stats means it goes longer and snap faster? How will any particular drilling affect its reaction? Heard that this makes a good spinner ball.Originally posted by harmzuay:Quantum

is it really a very old ball already??? so wats the best recommendation you had for me?? i really need a extreme hook one. cos i'll be playing in a really oily lane. : ) and also tell me the price as well as the place to get it too, thanks. -

You keep asking for recommendations, but we cannot help you unless we have some information about how you play. or where you play. such information is highly subjective and what we each tell you without your information would be rather useless.
if you wish, just look at the sites airgrinder suggested. just keep in mind that the average member of those forums have at least one 300 game and plays with more revolutions and speed than us.

the ball essentially is designed to release its energy only later down the lane (higher the RG, farther down) than a low RG equivalent. such cores are normally used only with pearlised covers because a dull cover would prevent the core from doing this. These balls will rev up later, but because all the energy is released in a 'burst' rather than throughout the length of the lane, the reaction is more violent, resulting in a hard arc or snap.
Drillings can only alter any ball's reaction within a specific range that it has been designed to deliver. I.e. You can drill a snapping ball to arc, but don't expect it to arc as well as one that was designed to. I'm oversimplifying, but i don't think you'd listen to everything.
I've never understood which balls make good spinner balls because i don't even understand why they need different balls in the first place. the only thing that affects them is the coverstock, so just keep it highly shined and it'll be fine. The core doesn't even matter because 10 - 11lb balls usually use a houseball-like core with a weight block on top to create the top weight. So all balls have about the same core.
I think they just change balls to get a different ball. purely cosmetic. -
Unless you're a "champ" that uses heavier than 12 lbs to spin! Woohoo! Good bye longevity.
Remember that. Harmy's right. The only important difference (other than the price) between a $280 10 - 11 lb Apex Adrenaline and a $100 10 - 11 lb Columbia White Dot is the coverstock, no more, no less. Ok ok, the colour too, if you're vain with your balls. -
AhDan: i've got a Columbia300 ball bag which have been used only once b4, it's a 2 balls bag with a additional attachment bag. It's in great condition. Bought it for $175, wonder if u'r interested at a price of $160??

hi. actually i have a columbia white dot, with fingertip grip drilled.
bt i found out that this ball i can perform much better with straights then hooks. so is it possible for me to drill the ball again to normal grip? (( semi fingertip or conventional grip?? ))

Yes, you may redrill it to conventional grip and it will probably cause you around $30.
But firstly u must be certain of the style that you wanna bowl. Indecisiveness will cost you more.......

Ah Dan: if u'r intending to learn hook, u may want to use the white dot as a spare ball. The white dot is supposed to be a ball that hooks minimal, and will be a great spare ball.

does anyone ever drills fingertip grip and semifinger grip at the same time on a ball?? is it common to do so???
i am intending to use this to start learning simple hooks. then use it as a spare ball in the future, then get a better reactive ball in future too.
so main thing now is just to know, will it affect the performance of my white dot if i drip another semi-fingertip grip? (like this my ball will have 5 holes right??) -

If the ball is too heavy, don't use it. Ultimately, you'd want to use a fingertip grip on your ball, especially if you're looking at a hook-shot in the long-term. Changing with the grip is a foundation-level change at any level. It affects all of your game. Similar to how a building has to be knocked down to alter its foundation.
If the ball is really THAT heavy, then practice on a lighter ball. Btw, check that your grip is fitted properly, because improper fitting makes a difference to the weight of the ball in one's hands If the ball is only say, 1 pound heavier than what you're used to, then train up your upper body.
Remember: Always focus on accuracy. Once you get that (by the time you get that), you will be stronger, and the revolutions will come. Never rush. It breeds injury. -
is there any one selling his reactive ball here? i'll like to get one. light weight oness. cos theres injury in me, so i'll need a lighter weight ball. best if its only 11lbs. or lighter side of 12. semi finger tip grip.
best if plain one color.
