hi guys, i came across your forum by chance and find you guys to be a bunch of really interested bowlers....just to inform you all if you are intrested, of the above. It's graded b so avg of 169 n below...50 bucks to take part...first prize is 350...
so any one interested it's on 140702 at 1930 check in at 1900....

i have problems viewing the link provided. Could someone please tell me, how does one prove that his/her average is 169 and below? Do we have to be an STBA member or member of a certified league to play? Because those are the ways to get a certified average. -

Zerty, just a Qn...... the fun bowling for B graded bowlers(HDP 169 & below) doesn't seem right.
How come the past results' is so good 
Their scores are beyond 170 or even 180/190.

apologies..it's 40... the avg can come from anywhere....stbc..ur league...some dun even have but dun get caught of cos....if u see the results carefully these pple are really not that good they just have one or two high game peppered with 150s...see???

guys....if your avg is abv like 180 and u take part, u may be able to win this tournament but the guys at planet bowl will ban you for future tournaments.... btw ding, check out the scores of the graded 'a' tournament and compare it with the 'b' tournament...u will see that the scores have a wide range for the 'b' games...not to mention the females who have an avg of abt 170 + their 10 point handicap, they are quite a force anyway half the top 10 is female the last i bowled there...so anyone still interested??

Hmm..judging from past results, seems like the lanes are pretty high scoring type with moderate carry down. otherwise how can one easily 400 series on a pair of lanes and hit another 400 on another pair again(assuming lane change after 2 games). There must be quite alot of oil in the middle of the lanes is it?(just my guess, never try b4)
To bowlers who have tried there b4,how's the hse condition like? -
Not sure man... currently the place is quite out of the way. But the Farrer park MRT is coming up soon then it will be a short distance away
The lay out is alike Silverbowl & Royal Bowl with lanes on both sides

lanes are really oily and they are wooden....people tend to hit 180-220 quite often but scores like >250 are really rare...

updates on the tournament....winning avg abt 210+...guy hit a 289...10 in a row....before he ran out of steam....avg abt 186 to get 10th posn...ie...get money back...top prize 300 bucks

Grade 'B' tournament my a**. That's a very high standard for a mere $300 dollars. I'd thought it was some high-roller tourney had it not been for all the graded 'B' issue.
It's tantamount to hussling! Cheating the money of real players who tell the truth about their averages. -
hmm...that day's bowlers were mostly below 169 avg bowlers cos i know some of them and that's what their league avg says...some of them are new bowlers who bowl for less than a year...but i wonder....these tournaments never cease to amaze me.....but then if you have been bowling long enuff...u would realise that the real sharks are not there....
