Bowling Tourny?

Hi all,
Post here a few times before, if u remembered. Anyone interested in a bowling tourny? You know, challenge each other, get to know more people...etc. I am trying to organised one if there are enough people. Currently my own group only have about 6 people. So I am sort of trying to rally several other groups through internet. Anyone intereested can drop me a mail.

do you have a shortlist of venues? I think that's a prime concern because of the travelling involved. It's a novel notion, and i'm in if time allows for it.

Any suggestions for the venue, date, time? I was thinking of 23 march (sat) morning, after the chinese new year. Venue will be at victor's?
My intention for the game format is as follows:
1. teams of 3 person regardless of sex.
2. 5 game format.
3. competing in individual male, individual female, and team score.
4. males fight among the males and vice versa.
5. the the team competition, ladies will be give a 10 pin adv.
Prizes will depend on the number of competitors. I'm hoping for at least 10 teams, then we can have some decent fight!

it sounds like a league. everything seems to be in order. But isn't chinese new year 12th - 13th of february?

haha, me just came back from the year 2135.
Let me repharse. I am suggesting the toury be held on Saturday morning 23 March 2002, (not 2135), at Victor's Superbowl at Marine South. I am also rallying a few other groups through. If everyone is ok with the date/time/format, then maybe you guys can start getting into your teams, and training...cos some other teams (certainly not mine) will be tough. keke. Can anyone be a representative? So that it will be easiler to finalise details. I will let you all know the amount to pay, the prizes, number of teams, any "single and availabe ladies/guys" at a later date. The price should be around $20 plus minus, depending on the price I can get from Victor's and the type/amt of prizes.

We'll definitely have to keep practicing... I actually managed a 55 game today during practice. Not that easy can - you need to hit less than 6 pins per frame.

airgrinder, i seriously doubt we can give you a fixed list of bowlers right now, even in February there might be some difficulty. From past experience, there will be a lot of "see first lah" replies, not to mention that March is right smack in the middle of our mock and final exams.
However, I'm quite sure some of us will welcome the break from all that mugging... -

Didnt know 23 mar will be at ur exams time. Usually exams starts in April?
How about if we push forward the date? Say 2 or 9 March? Will it be better?
I understand some cannot commit and would adopt a "see first" attitude. I also do that sometimes. However, if there are too little teams participating, then there would be some admin problems. Currently, I had invited 4 of the 5 groups I wanted to invite to bowl, till now I have warm response from 3 of them. One of them is SIM!
Why not i contact you all at a date closer to the toury and you give me the teams, say 2 weeks b4? And once again, would 2 or 9 march be a better date?

I could not endure till a later date to bowl with so many on bowlers!!!
