OCT 27th - SIM vs TP939ers vs CDL

Hey hey hey... yes the touranment you've been waiting for is finally here, we'll be playing with these 2 other teams at Tampines SAFRA at 3pm on Oct 27th, Saturday.
Game format: 5 game block
Team format: Trios
Please get into your respective teams ASAP, mixed, all girls, all guys, up to you. Individual and team events are combined in this 5-game format, further updates and changes will be posted, watch this space! -
Looks like we may be able to get lanes at SAFRA Resort, 18 lanes at that.
But still same time, 3pm.
Will confirm it in a few days! -
Final details, SIM will be fielding 6 teams, sorry ah, can't get more lanes this time round.
Format: Five game block, trios.
Price: $20 (hope to get $5 subsidy from school).
Venue: National Service Resort and Country Club, formerly known as SAFRA Resort.

Chuany boy...jun junring ..confirmy with me bradder, its a must ah....bout the teams of those playing in the tourny next week./.I think its a must ah. Met MAxy Riany at Mdm WOng the other day and he said that his in the team too...DOn mind letting him play , its a surlyone...

Eh pai seh leh, sean supposed to be in kev and wx's team, my mistake. Didn't realize until kev called me today.
Very sorry to all those who can't play in this tourney, a bit tight coz there are 3 different groups playing, but there will definitely be more lanes for us during the SIM open and other upcoming events, we still need a lot of support from the seniors!!! Hope you guys understand -
Latest Update. SIm will now field 7 teams as the Tp939ers can only field 5. This is supposed to be a big event as the Chairperson of CDL himself is coming down to compete. As we are supposed to give a good impression, i request that all of us will turn up in proper bowling attire.
(collared T-shirts and pants or jeans guys, and girls, collars and berms or shorts. no tights hor.) -

Bestbest ah.,,I would like to commend on the performance of some of the razers mainly Jae Jring, Andrew and our presido on their performance 4 the competition today...they did exceptionally well thats good....
That goes to show that the training reaps rewards in bounties and its a best best ah...
At least I can say that the bowlers adjusted well and maintained their averages in fine standards. It does not matters that the organisation is small, when theirs improvement on a whole, it is a junjunring...not to mention Chuan too ,Scuby and Safiro....Hamzuay...buck it up man,,,espacially u re playing with me on WEd its a must must ah,...VE fun yo//

Thanks freemun... so nice of you to notice that i played like a blinfolded bat! I sucked man... sucked bad... just couldn't make the adjustments.
anyway, i'll buck up on wednesday, so don't worry. If you're as good as you say you are, then all i have to do is to hold my position during the game, and we'll win, right?

Eh, when did we have the SIM open last year, November/December right? It's going to be tight. TP93 want to organize one in early 2002, January/February.

i think the 9 pin tab was somewhere in oct and the open was in nov.
anyway, i dun think it's neccessary to stick to the schedule of the previous year lor. -

the competition is great on sat.....but we have a poor showing..thats show that training is important
By the way, dun hold the SIM open too late coz the the students will have to prepare for their exams :p

I am expressing my objective view, not trying to score point by defending Mr Kwek! It was a good game we had with young & dynamic players from SIM & TP93. The fast drying lanes & all those splits did create much frustration to most of the players. Mr CEO (as Ian named Mr Kwek) was cracking a joke after observing much frustration including one SIM player hiding his face in his folded arms. Mr Kwek was not at all upset as he achieved close to his average of 160. We felt bad for sweeping all trophies home & he simply tried to crack a harmless & casual joke to comfort our young opponents - blame it on the lanes (nothing personal against the centre mgmt). It's a Saturday afternoon at a bowling centre, not a company AGM, we thot our young friends would be able to appreciate some sense of humour. Give him some credits - how many CEOs of that stature would be people-oriented enough to spare time for a friendly game with young bowlers while most CEOs rather talk business on a golf course.

Maybe on our part, we didn't know that it's a joke.
Great competition, hope that I can bowl with the juniors more often.
