Just wondering if any1 studying in there now

I'm from SIM. Before i enrolled for my present course, an alternative was Stansfield. But i found negative comments about it administration, so SIM was my choice.

Well........ i think SIM is a btter choice for many, but then guess its more expensive also ...... thus choose Stansfield......
Anyway, its not too bad after all lar...... -
Heard from frens that Stansfield's lecturers r more approachable n the most impt factor is that they have tutorials. If I'm not wrong, they even offer hostels. It will b fun 2 experience hostel life, like those days we stayed at francis's pl.

To Max_rian: actually francis wanted to ask some of u to go to his place at YCK to study cos his room mate is away for this period of time but he's afraid u guys wouldn't be able to concentrate. Maybe u can check with him on the details and arrange for such a study session soon. Good Luck for your papers!!

To all UOL student, may I know when the results will be out. Heard its mid August ...... true?

Yep, its around 3rd week of August if i'm not wrong... seniors pls correct me if necessary.

Yup! Somewhere ard. there. Usually the results will b pinned on the notice board of RELC 1st, then the net n lastly in sch.

if i recall correctly, read from the SIM online notice board that this year results will not be posted in sch.
only relc and on web i think. or the other way round... hmm.? -
Yup. Results will only appear online instead of the usual going down to school to check. Guess SIM is undergoing major changes this time around. Stuff like starting school early, going online to check results etc.
By the way, any year twos and year threes received their new membership card? Somehow i feel that with the new changes, SIM has sorta become rather inefficient in some way or another? They told me they were going to give us the card in April. Look what month are we in now? Sighz..guess i won't get to see or use my new card anymore..as such one wonders why the membership fee has to be paid if there wasn't an upgrade in our membership card? Even with the assurance that the old card can still be use, i would still prefer to have something tangible, something new, to make it feel that the membership is worth the money i paid..
AwwWw what the heck, it's just another silly rumbling that goes unheard..bear with me people

Thought we have always been able to check our results online? I have been doing that since year one.

Hmm..didn't know that year one can check results online. I actually went all the way down to school just to check my results! How blur of me

Found this in the website regarding the results announcement.
To check on the actual time and date of the release of results, please call 4629775 or 4629776 after 15 August 2000. When the results are eventually announced, they will be put up on the SIM/UOL website at www.sim.edu.sg/uol. Do note that the results will not be put up on the noticeboard at SIM. Students who wish to view their results in person can check them at the RELC Building. -
