Well well well,
If my maths serve me correctly, we managed to scrape 12 pts in a narrow 12-8 victory over our opponents. I say "scrape" because we won the overall by just 2 pins, 1 team game by 2 pts and 2 games via handicap!
After the first 2 weeks, I'm sad to say we're the cellar dwellars with juz 12 points, but after this week we should climb to 9th or 8th, depending on well the 8th place team bowled!
Current individual averages, handicaps, sessions bowled:

To be fair, the roll off conditions paled considerably to the actual league conditions that we had last night. Folks, do make sure you bring both dull and pearlised/polished balls to fully take advantage of the lane oiling!
Bonus: Apparently they don't allow bowlers to bowl on the lanes after oiling, so that the league folks have full usage of the freshly oiled christmas pattern. Cool! -

Geez, the freak show is back in Katong!
I think I need a total revamp of my game. Couldn't get anything going at all and stumbled to a 140+ average for the night..... SIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -

looks like our katong misfortune is still hanging to us, ever since a few seasons ago, but dun worry, i believed that we have ever since improved, and that we can bring good results this season too!
oh, and it was nice meeting Mr Ah Law first time for some of us yesterday!
