win 98 shut down problem

  hi guys..
  
  need some help here
  
  i have some problem shutting down my notebk
  im using win 98 and whenever i shut down it will jus hang in the win shut down page
  
  i had uninstall the most recent installed program but still the same thing happen..
  
  any idea ?

  What edition of win98 are you using? If it is the second edition, you may need to go to windowsupdate to download a patch for shutdown fix
