my line is constantly dropped!

  hi there,
  
  i discovered that recently (last 2 months or so), my internet connection is frequently dropped, sometimes its dropped as soon as i get connecteed. and when the line is dropped, my 'connection' icon still shows as 'connected'.
  
  its getting really very frustrating. anyone has any idea why this is happening or encountered the same thing before? is it the modem? or the isp?

  The computer? What is the operating system and speed of ur computer? Cuz as soon as u r disconnected, no matter due to ur modem or the ISP, from what I noe, it wil show disconnected.

  wad ISP are u using?
  
  singnet BB or dialup?
  
  if dialup , it shld be a line problem , change a new telephone wire...perfably a shorter one.
