  I just got scv cable...but i cant surf/download smoothly! my screen goes HANG after surfing awhile always.. and i only have the problem only when i surf using cable! can some1 help me pls thanks!

  You need to provide more detailed information; system hang might also be due to Hardware problem as well. The next time that your Internet Explorer freezes, try to use the [ctrl][alt][del] key, select the internet explorer and shutdown the program.

  wat OS u using??? maybe u nd to reinstall or get orginal windows.. dun get win98. get ME, NT or XP.. more stable. if those cant work then ur computer suX! =P

  win2000 will be good. XP will slow down significantly after 1 month of running...
  
  But do try playing around with other OS like linux for example. You will learn more about your comp and the support group is very large.

  Press Control-Alt-Del and look into the TaskManger and see what you are running...cut down on those useless programs that are sucking ur mem dry

  win2000 dun hv directx 8 and it cant play some of the game so XP is rather better...the interface is nice too.. i wan to try linux but i heard nd to program for those configuration u want.. i not very expert.

  You can download directx 8 for windows 2000. Some games come with the option to install directx 8 for you, e.g RTCW.
  
  Interface is one thing, performance is another. If comparing the speed it which the computer processes my stuff...I would say windows 2000 is faster. You can read some of these bench marking test on the web.
  
  As for Linux, you do not need to get those that requires you to do lots of configuration. User friendly ones like Mandrake linux will do the job. ngkaihoe in the forum is a Mandrake Fan. You can ask him for advice pertaining to this.

  i had try to download the directx 8 but it cant install.. i aso dunno y.. but if i got time during this holiday then i go and try installing linux

  Its seems tt every forum i go got this problem. If you are not using USB Cable Modem and AMD Mainboard, then you can ignore my post. If you are using this 2 device, then change it to a Network Modem instead of using USB. The reason is bcos USB cable modem may not work with AMD Chipset.
