alrite,i guess i need to wake the both of u up nw!im a student of nyp taking up multimedian infocomm tech.wana noe wats the course like? let me tell u:its mostly abt maths and physics!so if the both of u had never touch physics n A-maths b4,its gona be realli tough.as for multimedia well, im nt sure if u all r gona be like us.we had to learn programming but its onli taught by pt lecturers,in another words,u'll be having nite classes!n u'll learn to use some simple softwares like flash. n u'll be asked to do a own program using the softwares they taught u.as for the sch...south canteen SUX!!!they serve horrible food!esp the stall selling the fishball noodles! wa lao!the noodles is so hard dat u can use it to make skipping rope!quite sian lor act,but u can try the north canteen,nt bad.hehe,im nt trying to scare the both of u n neither was i spoiling ur mood abt going to a nw sch,but i guess i juz need to tell u pple the truth coz i noe the feeling of being bluff!

dun be so discourage lar..juz make the most out of it lor..dats the way to survive in a poly.no more like sec sch liao where everything is like plan nicely for u..i wasnt realli use to it 4 the 1st half yr, but its okie nw.the most impt thing is to make frens fast fast or else u'll die fast fast!!

wat kinda degrees can i get for after this coz? which university should i study since ntu & nus dun have any coz related to mutimedia studies?

I think maybe overseas universities such as Australia if your interest lies in multimedia part. The overseas have more choices 4 u to choose fr. But U can also study overseas degrees where its classes are held in Singapore but it's fr the commercial one, whether it's recognised, I'm not sure. But U hav to really work hard to get that sum of money after U graduated unless U r rich.

If u r into multimedia.. then tht's just too bad... MIT only allows u to go to NTU's Electronic Electrical Engineering (start from yr 2), NTU's Computer Engineering (can only be exempted frm a few modules (start yr 1), NUS's Computing (start yr 1)
Main thing is, just study and work hard and get a gd diploma.. for local U.. besides gd diploma.. u nd to take SAT1 frm 2003 onwards.. and CCA plays a part.. so go join some! If u're thinking of goin overseas... u nd lotsa $$.. Canada's great... not as expensive USA n UK..slightly more expensive then Australia.. but recognition's definitely better than Australia's*....

Actually, I dont think JPSDS is considered a scholarship... they merely pay u peanuts.. considering that u're selling ur 1 n only life to SAF.. as a specialist rite.. most probably combat side.. cuz they don't recognize this Diploma as technical... So what did u sign on as?
That's my view in general... but I believe their people who're into military stuffs! So they actually enjoy it! So u went thru 2 months of BMT b4 Poly rite? For those who wish to sign on as officer.. I don't think u can while pursuing a diploma.. cuz u're only considered O Level, until u get ur Diploma... so u should try signing on during BMT....
