What I did when I first started......now can share liao, bo drive liao mah....
1. Join the best group among all the groups.....A Must! only elite will gather under 1 roof....
2. If you know some play snooker in spare time, join them for a few games.....if you know some play mahjong, join them for a few games......if you know some like to chiong club, join them a few times......if you know some just like to la kopi, join them as much as possible....
3. Bid jobs like nobody business, from there, you will know who are good or bad caller, and at the same time, learn how they secure clients through conversation with callers....
4. If possible, TRY all mean to be a committee member, from there, you will understand MORE on how a group work, even just involve in group activity also good enough......
5.If driving CDG like me, MUST know all the OLD KINA.....
.....those from square lamp till now 1.....how to know them? do company jobs la.....Many will say I ki siao.....swear to my heart, this is what I did when I first started.....
3 years......enough to let me SEE the whole farking Limousine World....

from what you wrote, made me feel dat I don't suit as a Limo driver.

Mercedes-Benz is nice..... plus
Status....comfortable... good brakes....
BUT
if you are making lesser than driving normal cabs.... then what is the point ?
Driving limousine cabs = lesser effort, higher revenue (as most limousine-related jobs are higher than meter-run jobs).
Hence
U have to decide yourself if u can compromised your potential income with the comfort levels given to you by driving a limousine cab.
Or
start taking limousine-related jobs and do your own farming.

yah talked to him the other day.......... told him to be more active
in the group n take more jobs........... the more u take the more conffident
u become........ also do abit of farming ......... in the long run will bear fruits..........

about taking jobs in limo group
my experience in maxi, during low season...... there will be those taiko, who will talk rubbish when a job is not awarded to them.
like, "are you sure you can reach in 5 mins..........", "wah, this xx had taken 2 jobs liao, huat liao", "everytime sure 5 mins, real or not?".....etc
their intention is obvious, got to learn to ignore them, don't get affected by them. do not even need to answer any of their query, only remain your conversation with the caller will do.

Sometime, in a group, between kakis and kakis can talk until Mother Father type....
Some wear same underwear 1......If don't know that guy well, do not crack joke on him in group talk......this is where unhappiness started without your knowledge....
In my early day, only when my shifu talk, than I join in the talk.......than slowly started to meet up with group members through my shifu.......than suddenly all become brother.....
Than I can start to talk like nobody business in group talk.....it don't come naturally....

Although Committee no money to take, dirty and shit jobs, waste a lot of precious time......BUT.....if 1 had no "eager" to even sit up there, what do you think he got the motivation to drive a Limousine........and this is my Shifu who told me that, and I find that is very true....
If that POWER can steer the group to a higher level......I really don't mind 1 act like a Encik....

I dont want anymore stress...
I driving, phone ring, ask for car now. Then must hold steering, earpiece in ear, hold Walkie page job... My Pax look at me, wonder what I doing... We don't need more stress lah...
Got power, can bring the group to the next level, but the IC plays an important role too...

Thanks all for sharing the pros of joining a group. Anyway don't think I will join any group till next yr as CDG will only put me On the list only when I have 6 month of driving experience for sonata. My 6 month driving wish no count.

The main purpose of going into limousine cab driving is to upgrade to Pte Limos in the future....
If your aim for driving limousine cab basically use it sweeping the floor.... then my sincere advice to you is to stick to normalimousine...
