Um Tio lah.
Try again please.
When it comes to most people who have a famous father, they try to step out of that famous father's shadow and try to be their own person.
But the way I see it, is looks as though both Kenny in particular and RP in general are doing their darndest to invoke JBJ's legacy. For example, quoting from the article:
Kenneth Keyaratnam: "This morning I almost pulled out of this rally. Sometimes you must know when to get out of a fight. But police made assurances of safety for you and us. I remembered who I am -- the son of JBJ!"
And also: Party chairman Zhu said Jeyaretnam is a "chip off the old block" and he possessed the same courage fearlessness and sense of justice as his late father.
A lot of people respected your father, Kenny. But respect is something that has to be earned - it is not something that can be inherited.
I would have more respect for the son of a famous man who tries to be his own person than one who tries to capitalize on his father's creds every chance he gets.
And correct me if I'm wrong, but is that JBJ's image on the far right side of the banner....?

yes. that's JBJ image. Sadly, RP and KJ are far from mature politicallly.
You know what's sad?
There are people who will vote RP solely because of the memory of JBJ.

Doing some CSI,
WP new star Terrence Tan Li Cheng is not listed in the list of law practitioners provided by the Law Society of Singapore.
Does this mean that he is not a Singapore lawyer and he is practising law in other countries ?
is KJ in politic for the ppl or for himself or is he in there just to continue his father legacy?
his father did not see the whole picture , so he lost
A goverment by the people , from the people , for the people - AL
I would forget about the other 2 oppositions.
Simply no sense to bid for by-election this time. Doesn't know what the people want.
I foresee these 2 oppositions to get below 3% votes. WP 48%.
Hope to see more high calibre people like Lim & Low. Really done a Good Job !

It has been speculated that RP and SDA are simply trying to prevent the rise of WP.
They know that Singapore is too small for multi-party politics, and at most only two parties can dominate the political scene. In the long run, a strong WP alongside PAP is more damaging to them than a strong PAP all alone.
$16k would be a small price to pay for RP and SDA to survive.
WP rally, of cos.

well not like if he wins this by election he can form the government...
yeah
quite amazed how the sarporters (and kpo-ers) are willing to go all the way to a 鸟生蛋 place for this

Agreed. I know a few people from as far away as Jurong who attended the WP rally.
Also, rally attendance does not necessarily correlate with voting patterns. For all of the complaints and disillusionment of the masses, enough people will still vote for the PAP out of fear of rocking the boat, irrational or not.
The WP rally had 5000 spectators, while the PAP rally had about 500 spectators. But surely pigs will fly before the WP beats the PAP by a 10:1 margin.
out of the 5000, 4476 of them are not from #punggoleast , sadly.
