As some people from other forums have said, better to tell the incumbents that the whole GRC will voted out if they choose to field unqualified candidates like her.
No petition will work, otherwise people will be starting petitions for housing, cost of living, transport fares, over crowding, over population.
somehow i still think pap will win.....am i pessimistic?
lightning strike!
the significance of this and future elections is not the victory of ruling party but the growing awareness for the need of more opposing representations to align with the voices on ground...

Petition not obvious here because PAP has the MTP session in which individual is encouraged to petition behind closed door.
What PAP won't like to see happen is the massive, open, crowded form of petition.
But with the net, things are taking new shape and turn.

Egypt has a population of 80 m, many of which are below 24 years old. Young, highly educated, highly mobile, global outlook.
Gone were the days of tent pitching bedouins. Uneducated, tribal, clandish, vendetta.
Singapore political landscape is actually a battleground of the pri/sec educated aunties/uncles and the mobile/uni educated generation y.
Generatiion y wants dual parliamentary representation, full democratic insitutions and their voices are getting louder.
It a global thing - when people are educated, articulative, can't put them in a tin can, anymore.

Imagine if in every GRC, there was one feet stomping candidate who says "I don't know what to say" .
why no one comment the neckline too low?
Coz there is nothing to see even beyond the neckline.

Imagine if she becomes your MP and then in parliament, starts stamping her feet because she disagreed with something the opposition MP said.
She would wake up all the ministers taking their afternoon nap.

Adventures of Tin Tin: The Stomping Brontosaurus.
But I would admit that she will become an MP.
After all, no new candidate being introduced and asked to stand in a GRC with the ministers has ever been known to cause the whole GRC to fall into opposition hands.
Yet.
