Overwhelming response does not equate to votes.
But I hope I'm wrong.
Hanor, last election online also so much noise, in the end, ha!

I don't equate overwhelming response to votes. We still have a large number of citizens love familiarity who will still vote PAP. It is habitual for them to vote PAP.

No noise no fun. Still look at it the fun is more colourful in other countries election

yes, what matter most is the action taken by the public.
We all know that Tanjong Pagar GRC may be seeing another walkover again,due to lost of interest by the DPP and also the last-minute pullout of the Socialist Front.....But I believe there could be some surprises ahead on Nomination Day......
A group of independents may be coming over to contest there......Or initially the SDP,as Buona Vista is much closer to the Holland-Bukit Timah GRC,and it has been doing some walkabouts since around last year.....There may be possibilty that the SDP may be fielding up a dream team there,which has a requirement of an Indian candidate...So here's the list of possible SDP candidates making a surprise entry....
-Francis Yong,a veteran since 1988...Contesting in Sembawang GRC in 2006,expected to be the team leader as he's much experienced....(Tanjong Pagar-Tiong Bahru)
-Gerald Sng,also contested in Sembawang GRC in 2006...Originally slated to be Bukit Panjang candidate,but gives way to Alec Tok...(Buona Vista)
-Narayany Goeslavany(Monica Kumar),also contested in Sembawang GRC,the only Indian candidate in the GRC slate so far....(Tanglin-Cairnhill)
-Jaslyn Go,a newcomer who was formerly slated to be a Yuhua potential candidate...(Kreta Ayer-Kim Seng)
-Sylvester Lim,another newcomer who was formerly said to be a potential Bukit Panjang candidate(Queenstown)
Thus,if they were contested there,SDP would have all 16 candidates and expected to contest in 3 GRCs and 2 SMCs for the 2011 elections and there may be possibilty that ALL 87 seats might be contested....If not,then there's only one GRC walkover and only 82 seats available cos AMK's expected to be under Reform Party which has Alex Tan of the SPP as one of its candidates and also Arthero Lim who may lead the team....Keep on for tonight's updates and also tomorrow to find out if my predictions are correct....
Tomorrow is the last day for nomination day.
Battle is not over yet.
Latest = AMK GRC WILL Be contested :-)

That's good if it's really confirmed....If it's that so,then the Reform Party may field in both Alex Tan and Jay Ting there,even Osman Sulaiman too...Maybe Alex could lead a team there or initially Arthero Lim may.....After all,AMK's been facing a first fight with the WP in 2006 and then Reform gets to send another suicide team there....
Most probably if Nazem Suki said that he will be staying up to Tanjong Pagar GRC with the SDA and with enough funds,Nazem may lead a team there,even with the Indian Muslim guy......After all,Tanjong Pagar requires an Indian candidate,just like the short haired beauty of Orchard Rd....
Maybe,IF the SDP may decide to contest in Tanjong Pagar with a surprise dream team with an Indian candidate,things will be changed even sooner...Or even a group of independent candidates or even the DPP itself....

Er, given their blatant gerrymandering, 45% won't yield so much.
66.6 -> 82/84
55.5% -> 80/87 ? booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....
What time can we expect to hear the complete candidates list tomorrow?
