Yup,SDP had already set sights on BOTH Sembawang and Holland-Bukit Timah GRC as both had been significantly strategic within the Northwest, within Bukit Panjang,SDP's main battleground.....Whilst what I've never been expected,Reform Party takes on AMK shortly after bringing in Alex Tan of SPP to contest there...And another thing,Tanjong Pagar which has been situated with Orchard Rd and Buona Vista's Holland V.,has been expected to see a first fight with Ng Teck Siong of the Socialist Front along with SDA members as there may possiblity that SDA may fight in....
Thanks a lot for praising me and my efforts,I've been following the whole stuff....
The last I heard SDA is still short of one indian candidate for Tanjong Pagar, do you have any update on this?
Quite uncertain, but I've assume.......A group led by Ng Teck Siong of the Socialist Front, and also his declaration that he had formed a team of the SDA members, with 2 SF members including him as the Tanjong Pagar chief.....(Source from yesterday's Sunday Times)
I believe that there's an Indian candidate, and he could be an Indian Muslim,by the name of Abdullah Salam....And the rest were possibly....Azhar Ali,Noraine Anabi,Lim Mie and also Mr Ng himself....Another candidate,Nazem Suki, will be facing a 4-cornered fight with PAP's Sam Tan,NSP's Yip Yew Weng and also an Independent candidate in the nearest Radin Mas SMC.....Maybe,Mr Ng may be announcing sooner enough to confirm this....If that's so,Tanjong Pagar will be seeing its first fight in years after 20 years of walkovers....With the SDA team in there...
Another thing,in case of AMK,where both Reform and the SPP had eventually worked together against PM Lee's team...Thus,if Alex Tan and Jay Ting of SPP went over to join forces with RP,I bet on my life it will be Arthero Lim who will lead the Reform team in AMK along with the rest of the RP members, including a Malay member by the name of Osman Sulaiman.....
So,there may be possibility that ALL 87 SEATS MAY BE CONTESTED...But,we've got to wait for both Ng's and the Reform's confirmation by either tonight or tomorrow or initially by Nomination Day.....
Alec Tok joins SDP and stand in Bukit Panjang SMC.

It's official - Reform Party's former vice-chairman, Alec Tok, has joined the Singapore Democratic Party, SDP.
Introducing
the new member today, SDP Secretary-General, Dr Chee Soon Juan, said
although party treasurer Gerald Sng was initially slated to stand in
Bukit Panjang, he has graciously agreed to let Mr Tok contest instead.
Mr Tok, who's 46, he will stand in Bukit Panjang single-member constituency to challenge the PAP's Dr Teo Ho Pin.
Also
confirmed, 62-year-old retired lawyer and former Internal Security Act
detainee Teo Soh Lung will stand in Yuhua single member constituency.
She will likely stand against the PAP's Grace Fu.

How do you reject an application which is non existant?

Reform party also has lack of fund to contest Ang Mo Kio. And I'm not hoping for any good news on this.
Most probably we will be seeing the father and the son with no opponents.
Since the opp parties can shift their members to other parties, opp parties should help one another to fund for the contest.
Sigh!

dun they do their sums before deciding to contest, whether they have the funds or not? if they do not have the funds, then they ought to raise the funds needed isnt it, before decided to contest or not?
Yes, it is kind of a very bad image printed to the public. Lack of funds. Pap is laughing at them. Another plus point for the pap. Sigh!

Yeah right, explain the 3 corner fight at radin mas. All opposition parties only serve one purpose as priority: their own interests.
This GE is an achievement for opposition. If they put the plan into reality, this GE will only see 11 seats uncontested, as compared to the last GE in 2006 when 37 seats were uncontested.

This is a good start. The overwhelming response to many of them standing for this election is encouraging. Hope the fire never dies.

That's how organised they are mah. If you ask me, I reckon last week, they didn't even pick up the damn forms.
