I think that the goverment shall abolish NS 4 the seek of Male.Cos i think that it is an extra 4 male to go ns.Come on! Man !Singapore is so small.Any countries who want to invade us so easy man donn need fight 1.Jus ask them to split saliver and we will be over-flooded in no time.Or perhaps they jus walk or swim in openly.Singapore prison will soon be full man.
What's there to fight for.Any bomb drop from the sky there goes our famous Changi Airport.
Another Bomb drop there goes our famous Orchard Rd.There is nothing we can do.
If not singapore goverment can hired oversea talents ----other country army and paid them high salary.Singapore ns man are too cheap man one day only $8.I rather pay goverment $10 per day to exchange my freedom.
The males are disadvantage cos they got to serve ns.2-2half years.What they study has a already forgotten.They are already behind the ladies and the world.
Singapore is too small.We got to keep moving at all times in order to keep up with the time.But the ns take most of our precious time especially the "Golden Time" where we are so energetic at age 18-23.This is the time where our talent and rooms of capablity can be seen.
I really hope that the grieve can be ......

I too believe that this NS idea is rather pointless. True, strategically a small force can do great damage (like hidden strike forces in other larger countries
)
But asking... no forcing every single male to become a lean mean KILLING machine? I think this is rather obvious.
I mean, do any of you honestly believe that we're going to learn how to gently persuade our foes not to shoot at us? No we're learning how to best maim, murder, slaughter, snipe, strangle, gut and plainly KILL!
Not only will this psychologically harm those who may not all be that comfortable with bayoneting someone, but there is also the possibility that someone who is not quite sound of mind will be taught how to kill and avoid getting caught. O.o is THAT what these guys want? Please tell me they at least examine each and every recruit to ensure they won't slip a blade into someone's ribs sometime in the near future!
Well, that's all I have to say. Anyone with objections? I would most certainly like to hear your views. -

A reasonable (though somewhat graphic) objection. Learn to defend ourselves in the event of an invasion or war. Obviously we wouldn't want to lose, and it would most certainly help if everyone on this island was trained in combat.
However I believe someone put up another rather valid point, in terms of man-power we are sorely beaten by most other larger nations. Not that I'm saying that we should just give up and bend over :p No what I'm saying is it's time to focus on quality rather than quantity. 100 not-that-good-at-war soldiers versus 10 expert soldiers would most certainly result in the victory of the later.
That means training the guys that actually have a knack for this combat stuff while they should just forget about us not-so-physically gifted blokes, or at least think about spending a little less time and money on us, cause it's pretty darn obvious that the only roles we'll be good for in the army are as pack mules or cannon fodder, and I'm not fond of either of them.
