Last night at the traffic junction beside fullerton hotel towards nicoll. If member know at that junction the extrem left lane only left turning while the 2nd left lane can left turn n go straight. Traffic was red n I was at the 2nd left lane 2nd car waiting to go straight. Then from nowhere 1 white Azera speed pass from the left lane not only did he beat the red light he even beat the no straight lane just because someone was flaging taxi at the junction across. Must be so hungry? Donno what his head was thinking, risking his life n other road user life just for that few$? Worth it?

Times r hard... yesterday night.. Was shuttling between yishun n woodlands for 2 hrs... Lucky got couple board taxi go hotel 81 balestier from north point.. Somemore illegal pick up next to bus stop... Always taxi queue illegal that side

Last night seems very quite, 11+ pm carrying pax from kranji to pinnacle was surprise the roads very quite. Only reach city area after 1am after sending pax to CQ. Like not Saturday, maybe that's why so many hungry cabby..

I Stopped at Red Light. I am going straight. When light turn Green I go straight but CityCab turning right from opposite direction cut my path. If I did not brake, it would be an accident. I have video.

Normal, very normal. Nowadays all like that. Too much taxi on the road. All super yao and I thought Hungry Ghost season over already. Nowadays nobody care to signal right or left. Last night at least 3 near miss. One was at chinatown after smith street, two sonatas waiting. Suddenly second car just turn out cos he saw people walking out 30 metres away. CB I had to E-brake and horn at the same time.
Any idea we can modified our HORN? Nowadays need super loud horn. Thinking of fitting up fog horn.

The Azera he mentioned is from CDG .
So can u imagine ?
Comfort dvrs also cannot tahan their own counterparts .

Times are bad ...taxis are cutting each other throat...more collisions between taxis i seemed to noticed for past 2 weeks
My profits also less..so i told my hirer i drive 1 day less than normal..

Do you know that "hungry driver" are in some finanical issue?
His mother is undergoing a kidney transplant, he is in need of 10k cash as a deposit for the operation to commence.......... another 20k after the operation.......... who want to borrow, so he do not need to behave so "hungry".
On The Road, there are all kind of people with difference issue, we as a Taxi Driver, living on the road, should not get affected by common issue, and must be able to live with it.
That is road experience, when we day in day out we meet all this issue, and still did not learn to accept the existence and get agitated, you have not learn from experience, your experience is ZERO even 20 yrs of driving.

Yesterday was driving along Thomson Road..........
Red light, I'm at left lane.........
Blue Sonata at centre lane and yellow Sonata at extreme right lane..........
Behind me a red crown.........
In front a pax waiting for taxi, hand out liao.........
You can feel the sentiment from the blue and the yellow............
Green light!.......knn, yellow whack...........me also whack..........blue whack but obviously slower than us............
Than I signal right and cut to center lane before the pax........yellow know he can't beat me liao, horn like mad.......blue jam brake almost coming to a stop.........
And the red crown slowly overtake everybody, still on right lane and successfully pick up the pax............
Hahaha.......can see my rear mirror, blue sonata show me center finger, yellow sonata zoom past angrily..........and for your information, I'm not taxi........Hahahaha

Cant believe I encountered the same 'hungry taxi driver in 2 days'. Both at CQ.
Friday pick pax going out of taxi stand this Citycab number 117, from 2nd lane from so far start high beam.
High beam ar, ok lor, I go even slower. Best part he already got pax, high beam for fuck?
In the end he turn into CQ hotel side lane, most prob to drop the pax, like that also wanna high beam. In a rush for what fark, I dunno. Not say got no pax.
Then Sat night again at Clark Quay. Pax already hop in my cab, I moving out slowly, all 3 lanes jam, standard one at that hour. Then gues what I see this Citycab again, I already into 2nd lane going out, he going staright empty, mati mati dont want to let me out!
I think what fuck, I got pax, want to fo, you empty trying to get pax, switch places la, no he die die wanna go on. So let him, but other vehicles also blocking, he desperately tryng to squeeze between lanes. Got 1 private car also trying to get out, he still wanna come, I dunno how they didnt hit each other.
In the end he managed to do his interviews.
So desperate, selfish. I think it's only a amtter of time, he'll get into an accident.
I dont need to curse him or swear at him, this rate and this pattern, you know it's only a matter of time, he will get into an accident.
Drive cab, yes must be daring, but you can still be conscious of whats yours and isn't yours. Also if you miss 1 pax, you can easily find another. Don't need to treat every pickup as a battle.

I remember 1 time as a cop, I was waiting behind a cab at a red light. After the junction got pax waiting for cab. This after midnight. There was a cab coming from the other junction, if he right turn he will get the pax.
Then what happen? This cab infront of me, beat the red light to pick up that pax. This was Middle Rd x Waterloo. Not busy.
In my heart, I said wtf. I know taxi difficult to find pax, after midnight, but don't be like that lar. This one not yours, but the other driver's, he also trying to eke a living what.
So what I do? On blinkers and stop him la. He sorry, sorry. I f him, Told the pax, to get down and take another cab, as this was gonna take very long. Pax took off in another cab.
This driver - no chance. Summoned for beating red light.

Yup its true almost daily can see stunts from taxi drivers...i too am becoming like them if i dont control my evil carnival..drive fast than normal...eyes see far ahead..driving skill increase to level 2...wakakakaka

So many hungry TD become dangerous, think saturday around city area saw 2-3 accidents involving taxi..
I know Monday night is quite, but yesterday night one kind... So many cabs in town, so many taxi queue, unusually long queue.. and never have i seen so many wish in city area after 11pm.
Usually at traffic light, all blues and yellow and me alone wish. Yesterday night at traffic light, left, right and back all wish... Blues and yellow all queue long long, i see scared i go home.
Split shift yesterday only manage to get:
Rental + Fuel + Ciggarettes + 2 Prata Kosong + Prata Egg + Curry Puff + Apple Struddle + One bottle Polka Milk Tea
No income... LoL
