Guys, any advise or pointers?
Especially past midnight? Realize streets are very quiet, save KTVs, pubs, cinemas, eateries, etc.
Should I be prepared to send a pax outta town, and head straight back to town area? Not waste time roaming in the neighbourhood?
How many trips should I be hitting after midnight, afterwhich call it a day?
Folks to avoid picking up? FTs? Drunkard?

I see Orchard Tower can see taxi Q from taxi stand all the way tail end at Negara Hotel , i see liao sian liao , hahahah demoralised .

Then at Raffles Quay can see Comfort majority Q-ing with different patterns , see liao also sian liao .
Demoralised totally .

In a more serious note .... my advice to ToyShy .
Dun touch night driving .
Do anything , just dun drive night , cos it is not getting any easy nowadays . Esp possible global recession coming our way .
If u are familiar with day driving ..... stick to drive day .
But if u insist on night driving .
Let go Monday , Tuesday , or even Wednesday , drive 4-5 nights from Thursday enough .
I intend to do that ....
As time go by , i might go more relax route

How many empty trips they can tahan ?
Driving since morning , by 8pm , tired liao , the last thing u want is to hit right back to ulu destinations !

But hor , empty all the way down from J West , interview for $0 extra , just 25% , empty down for what ?
Want 25% , Jurong Point Q will have .
But hor .... they Q and kept getting Jurong West to Jurong West .... Inter Jurong Shuttle , $6 half hour work .
Q again , another $7 half hour work .
Stuck at Jurong 1 hour , knn around $20 only .
Productive ?

they surely will ask me : " then why are u still driving night ?'
My answers to them : " They have to be really experience to whack me , or else they will kena whack by old birds like us ."
I know which taxi stand got many go Yishun , do they know ?
I know which taxi stand got many inter city , do they know ?
I know MBS when can get good trips , do they know ?
I know when to put BUSY and run , they dare to ?
I know how to see pax , do they know ?
Ever since i am with a talkie ..... lagi no problems .
They can whack all they want , i can even handicap them .
This is something old birds capable of ... something we teach also very hard for them to master .

to me drive day and night also same, cause still some newbie driving night ask me, day where to find pax? important things newbie must know that they need experience driving day or night, only through sweeping which i always thought, will then help tds to gain better knowledge and find pax easier. there is no point telling where to go or where got pax, cos things will never always be the same, timing, luck play a part. it is just like Q-ing at the airport, you need to know the flight landing patterns, time taken for pax to come out, flight come from where, more tourist type, cheapo type est waiting time, worst is that when come to their turn, pax say dest which is nearby how to react. like this thursday, waited almost 20min, got pax without baggage, i now gone liao, go sia training center, kept my cool drop pax , circle cbp 1 round out and head towards bedok, just nice expo taxi stand got pax, shiok location charge $2 and pax going orchard . but what would any other driver mind set becom when kena nearby so far i am always "lucky " when itchy go airport Q. half the time kena simei / bedok even cbp, except for the cbp kena F by me all the way until drop off, the rest i kept cool , my return is either good tips or almost immed connection with good destination
