We have to look at this issue from a marco perspectives, of course, from a TD, I like you, agree that it is done of everybody business if pax is willing to pay more for it and get the best of it.
LTA expect a fair play on the ground, with system and laws in place, they want everyone to abide to it, the taxis business operators, TD and pax, and like every singapore rules and regulations, they are very firm with it, otherwise, chaos will set in.
Now, let take a look at what happen if LTA is to close an eye on it, LV, boonlay, or whatever operators or even TC might want a slice of it, because many paxs out there are willing to paid a premium to get to where they want to be without much hustle, and when that happen, which is happening, fares and prices will go out of control, someone call and said, 50 pts-, then someone add 60pts..and so on.

then lta should start clamping down those unlicensed groups like those mercedes from cdg and smrt chrysler .

if there is no offer , we just go as per normal . Unless they offered us extra to help them , we will do our best to help .

If I book an advance with the legal rate and cannot get a cab, 8+3+3.20, then someone told me, can call this nos but have to give at least more than the legal rate, what do you think will be the reaction?
I can't blame business people like TD, because our main purpose is $$, now why LTA control the fare even we as business people, who will alway take more than less, like a chicken rice seller he can say tomorrow my chicken rice goes up $4 per plate, because of this and that, and the govt will not bother about it, because it is up to him, if no one eat his chicken rice, that is his problem, if business boom, good for him, we can tax him more.
But Taxis is alway and will be a public transport, and when you talk about public, you look thru the spectrum of the whole population, from student to CEO, from the poorest to the richiest, and if these CEO and richiest can control the taxis movement by adding more on top of the legal fares, in a long run, some people in cck or yishun will not get a taxis.

u got to "switch on" when there is a passenger in your cab regardless whether pax is a family member or a charity transfer.... this is the Authority's requirement.

Marco and Micro meaning, bigger and smaller picture, this are use by most business and politician, even economist use it, they like to compare it from both of this perspectives, micro is more of an individual toward an individual career, family and group of friends or the surrounding only. Whereas Macro, is an eagle eye view, a bigger view of all the smaller view. And because it is a bigger view, it tends to be more complicated but provide you a clear picture of the issue

Nothing wrong lah , just that our advance bookibg can be 10-20mins earlier for eta . Some taxi company come with apps for advance booking , lakeview cannot do have super fast advance bookibg at the same rate of $8 ? Get LTA come and talk to me . Rubbish talks about illegal .

LTA should go ask pax why they offer $ plus meter. Then lta will then know how cock up or how stupid lta policy is. taxi driver don't create such matter. stupid lta should ask themselve why? why taxi companies cannot fulfill pax demand even after many years of fine system, todate how much fine have they collect from the taxi company including cdg smrt for not meeting the call demand. Still the same words i always say, eat too much pig organ soup liao

Probably LV is strong in City, TJ and BL is strong in Tuas/Jurong.
Anyway, a pax said after a TJ TD give him the taxi stand name card, he can easily get a cab. Before that, he usually waited very long calling the Taxi Companies. Now he only call TJ.

Everything follow Mr L book............everything is recorded.............everything boss do only protect taxi stand themselves...........
They might be the last taxi stand, LTA will disturb..........
Only strong in Tuas/Jurong?.......I thought night time CBD back to western side also strong........LV members don't go mah..........
But when things get overboard and become headline...........and still think that nothing is wrong, sigh............

Correction. Any call going to/from/between Tuas/Jurong is strong.
I also think nothing wrong with XX + metered fare.
COV also willing HDB buyer/seller basis and not illegal.

This is no different from pax saying "keep the change" since pax is paying more than what is on the meter. And NOT solicited by TD but pax willing to give. So is this illegal too?

The rational of this whole saga is...........
Taxi stands groups or any Private agreement should not be the solution of taxi woes by passengers...........
Strictly follow fare chart if you want to conduct a radio call station.........
Why other taxi stands groups can follow?........Tuas beh piang at night?..........
Mr L won't pursue what pax had done, but will penalize whoever overcharge a pax.........simple as that..........
Pax answer for you?......taxi stands guarantee your job?.........
Tipping is given provided after your good service, not before that............
