For current bookings, the risk of no show is higher than advance bookings. The fee for advance bookings is higher than current bookings.Go for advance booking then.
Unless you all have your own cars, I am sure there were time you needed to go somewhere and there were any taxis driving by with hired or busy signs on.
Then you called for taxi. Reply was one would be available in 'x minutes. You wait and finally one stops for you but it is not the one you booked. Would you care because you really need to go to your destination.
Which is more important? Pax reaching destination on time or TD losing a booking fee of $3?

When you want to take calls, then must be prepare for no show, just like if want to Q at AP, be prepare for flora road. All these must imprint into TDs mindset.

I agree... Its actually very unfair to those taxi drivers who take the effort to show up on time.. Maybe they should charge them extra bills through their phone! So people wont run.. ><

I think it work both ways, drivers can also come in late, or unable to show up with provident that they call the companies back or the pax.Charging pax for a service not rendered cannot justify anything but end up pax not willing to call that particular company taxis.
Just like hotel, good hotel, when you make reservation, they just want your details so that when you check in, the will be sure you are the right person. On the other hand, some hotel, especially from those 2nd and 3rd world, they want a certain deposit, your credit nos and if no show, they can deduct a nite of the booking. This alone shun customer to more customer orientated hotels
