Mine average 8 hours almost every day .
Max 10 hours for Friday night .
I am never a big earner in taxi driving .
It's up in my head .
I had got a 5rm flat ..... two kids .... wife working .... å�ƒä¸�飽餓ä¸�æ»ã€‚Twice a week play my favourite game badminton , weekend watch EPL , Sunday off family day .
Every 2 years interval can catch up World Cup and Euro Championship .
What else i need ?
Only one : Health .
And by driving 14-18 hours a day , i just know my body can never take it .
Bad for health .
Once health is bad , what money also cannot buy back a healthy body .

I think average 10 to 12 is quite common in Taxi driving, no only in taxi industrial, most working class peoples also work long hours, can see that at CBD and also industrial area when they use to call for cab.
But it also all depend on one needs, the age factor, the passion and the health involve, if you talk about stress, we need some stress, but good stress, it actually perk up our endocrine system, overdoing it, of course can be turn into bad stress.
For TD, sign of bad stress is when you start to curse and swear on other drivers on the road or you are starting to get impatient with the traffic and the destination. This usually happen near the mid of the driving, whereby, you are tire, yet to achieve your targetted profit, hungry, sleepy or simply, just cannot wait for the end. Then at the end last 1 or 2 hrs, all these stress are gone, cos the mind only think of going home and sleep.
Too relaxing can also be detrimental to your motivation, for taxi driving, in a graph, you start at the peak, then for a year, you may go up to reach the highest peak, maintain stagnat, and after 2 to 3 years, that line start to fall, I suggest that at that moment, start to think of a way to uplift yourself, you may be skilful and good after many years, but to reduce the timming is also consider reducing your income.
Just like last time you drive happily 10 hrs per day and you get xxx dollars, now you sian sian drive only 6 to 8 hrs but still get the same xxx dollars, and imagine if you drive 10 hrs, you will get more. Learn to tap on your skill and experiences to leverage on your income.

Taxi driver earn more money or bankers from JP Morgan earn more? Uaskforit or you don't know how to calculate how to earn money? And continuous driving long hours can kill our live and endanger pax life, 9 to 10 hrs driving is more than enough for everyone's body. Since a lot of people now overwork and don't practice exercise daily.
Uaskforit, have you enrolled your Taxi Vocational Licence Course TVLC? If not the instructor will answer all your questions.

Longest i drive continuous, without toilet break, without smoke break is 3hrs. Drop and pick non stop 3hrs, Cab never empty for more then 2min.

you should buy shares to receive dividends, better than parking your money and earn pittance interest rates.

Sometime you start queueing at 7pm......beh chun tio si beh chun....

I think we have to differentiate between driving 18 hrs on the road and with the taxis for 18hrs, some go out 18 hrs, do this and that, sex here and there, shop here and there, eat here and there, end up real driving only 6 hrs.
Then go back said I drive 18hrs OTR.

Bowah: Today hirer sick, so I cover for him for the next 6 to 10 hrs
Wife: Like this, ok, earn more also good
Then bowah go happy hours
The other way is using reservist
Bowah tell wife, next few day in camp training
Wife: ani lao liao, still got in camp training
Bowah: Got lah, now SAF not enuf peng, so call us lao heros take over
Wife: ani kuan, seibei cham, take care hor
Bowah: no problem, sup sup water lah.
